If you like playing on a course where every shot barring putting is played out of rough this is the spot for you. Potential 9/10 actual 1/10

Never again

Very disappointed, fairways needing cutting ,lose your ball in the first cut of rough. Majority of bunkers have grass growing in them , greens terrible state . Only plus point was course was empty. If your thinking of going save your money.

i have visited this for many years when on holiday, it has always been our no1 pick. however last week on holiday we went again and were very disappointed. The site is being converted into many ownership lodges which come with membership to the golf course. Unfortunately pure leisure group are more interested in being the site up for the lodges and no money is being spent on the course maintenance. Fairways were not cut and were far too long. First cut you should be able to see your ball but again were far too long. The greens were awful, not that many years ago I went to the pro to compliment then on their greens. Next year we shall be looking elsewhere to enjoy our golf.

One of their staff who was very rude. Been in the past to use the range and staff were freindly, but on the last time we were so offended by the comments of one green keeper, we left early.
Never got round to playing there though so can't comment on the course. Club house is OK, has a basic gym, driving range is a little tatty, grounds near range have been ruined by development of log cabins.
Being a local business man it is very upsetting to go to club where some of staff treat you like muck. Glad I didn't go for the membership!
This is one golf club, I will not be returning to. Will try the other club on the South Side, no range but if the staff are friendly it will be plus!

Hard course not well maintained

This felt like a really long course mainly due to the layout. Some long walks between holes with minimal directional signage. Drift off line and the rough is unplayable. Poorly maintained course although some of the backdrops are great.

Played a society event here in mid September on a windy (no kidding!?) but bright day. Front 9 is a bit soul-less, largely inland of the coast and one's progress is often interrupted by a drainage channel which weaves its way backwards and forwards around the course without warning. The course is about to undergo some remodelling so there are no course planner booklets available and no information on the website to make sense in advance of your visit of the many blind shots you'll have to play and the many bunkers and ponds which suddenly appear after you've taken your shot.
The back 9 is more pleasing to play as it allows you to spend more time overlooking the sea but these holes are more subject to the difficult wind conditions and you'll have to keep the ball low if you don't want to be wading through shin deep rough in search of your ball on every hole.
Not an unpleasant course overall but the greens are soft, bumpy and far too variable in speed to give you any sense of feel.
The clubhouse was built in 1993 and has been given a mock ancient makeover which isn't entirely convincing. However, the main bar has an elevated balcony overlooking the back 9 which makes for a very pleasant place to dissect the day's events.

No pro shop

Played there yesterday and generally had a nice round but the course seems to be on it's last legs. Bunkers GUR due to lack of maintenance and some greens lumpy and patchy. There are two different routings around the same 18 holes which confused us. Each tee has two different hole numbers, one for the Bay Course route and the other for the Heritage Course. I had thought there were two different courses but no, it's just two different ways of playing the same 18! As per the title there is no pro shop and no golf items on sale so take plenty of balls and a glove with you if you need them. The upstairs bar deals with green fees etc but have no knowledge about the course. I played with my wife and son but we saw groups of 5 and 6 playing together at different parts of the course. There are some very picturesque holes on the coastal side of the course but many others are quite featureless and not very memorable. I used the East Coast Passport scheme so it only cost £25 each but I don't think I'll be rushing back ??

Played on Thursday 24th April on a glorious wind free morning. The day started off not particularly well with the "difficult" pro insisting we wait 30 mins for our tee time..fair enough, we were early but not one group started and the group we had to wait for 30mins later let us through on the third hole...utterly ridiculous decision by the less than welcoming Professional that tainted the trip. As for the course, its in pretty fine fettle with the fairways cut well and defined. The greens however were simply unplayable. They have been cut in multiple directions with what appears to be a flymo!...Consequently, you got grossly inconsistent reads and speeds from each green. The grain is all over the place with bobbles and tufts of uncut grass...a real shame that lets down an otherwise nice course with a lovely big clubhouse. The scores are influenced both by the Professionals poor and disappointing welcome and the dreadful consistency of the greens. Belvedere, Filey, Flamborough and the two courses in Scarborough offer a better experience with greens that are a least playable.

Went to Bridlington for a week?s holiday with my family. Me and my son-in-law booked a round of golf at Bridlington Links. Unfortunately the greens were having some maintenance done but we did get some money off as compensation. This didn't really spoil our day the rest of the course was in good condition. It was a hot calm day so our scores were good . Staff very friendly and would recommend playing here.

The wind was up, so the linbks course played very difficult as it should!! The fairways were hard and fast as you' expect and the greens were like lightning.
Overall in good condition, just 1 temporary green on that was ver poor (about 6 foot in diameter and a cup like a bucket).

A transformation , worth a visit

This course has suffered over the past few years with a severe lack of care. This year has seen a positive transformation and the course is starting to look and play like a proper course. Some bunkers still require attention, but they are getting there. Worth a visit now and the views on the back nine are stunning.

Good Deal

This course has been panned in recent reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. There are a couple of bunkers that were overgrown and perhaps should have been marked as GUR but most of the bunkers were fine, the greens and fairways were in good shape and the course provides a good challenge.
Don't be put off, the course is excellent value for money in a lovely cliff top setting.
