What the club says: The Friendliest Club on the Coast. Nestled in the East Riding of Yorkshire can be found Flamborough Head Golf Club which was founded in 1931. This East Coast links course moulds itself around the contours of the cliffs which form part of the famous Flamborough Head. It is surrounded by some of the most panoramic views of the North Sea to be found on the Yorkshire coast, including both lighthouses. The 18 hole golf course provides both a demanding test of your golfing skills and an enjoyable experience for Members and Visitors of all abilities throughout the year. Standing on the 1st tee the unwary can be forgiven for being deceived by the apparent gentleness of the view across the golf course.

Great Course
A true links course,in excellent condition. Everybody were very friendly and speed of play was good. Would recommend(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 103 Handicap: 27.9)

Lighthouse
The old lighthouse is on this course and there are some great views over the cliffs. It can be a bit up and down but the course and greens are well kept and an enjoyable play. Can be challenging in the wind. Clubhouse is OK and meals are nice.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 73 Handicap: 0)

scenic course
Very scenic course set on the head, well maintained but bunkers that we experienced were short on sand - and at the seaside! Course is very much an up and back layout but forget your flat links courses this one has character with most holes providing uphill or downhill sections but not mountainous so not tiring. Water is limited to a drainage ditch across a couple of the holes (found it x2) and the odd small pond. No unseen hazards. Greens seemed a bit mixed speed on the day and cross putts didn't break much and were slow unlike downhill. So a nice course to play although a little out of the way. Don't be put off by the score - first game for 3+ months and my driving was unbelievably poor, fortunately we nearly had the course to ourselves. Well worth a visit. Clubhouse friendly but only a quick holiday visit so no time to sample facilities.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 112 Handicap: 24)

Great challenging course
Played in February, all main greens in play and only off mats on par 3’s. Greens and tees in excellent condition for time of year. Bit windy but what do you expect when you are perched on cliff tops. Can’t wait to come back and play in summer.

Gary.
Played for the first time a few weeks ago and well worth another visit. Had to wait for vehicles to be moved that were being loaded onto a transporter at the gate entrance. Course is well kept and people are friendly. The area is beautifull. Just a shame about the scrap/builders yard at the entrance. Very off putting, Will definatly go again.

Worth playing
Coming from derbyshire flamborough is a great place to play golf.Obviously different and therefore very enjoyable.Best greens I’ve seen this year course layout is a bit hard to follow for a visitor but still my favourite of my weekend in brid(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 82 Handicap: 12.5)

Clifftop
Quite open and would probably be devilish in the wind. Rough had been allowed to grow up so finding balls was not always easy if you stray from the short stuff.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 93 Handicap: 18.5)

Tough cookie
Played as part of a society on 10.9.17, it was always going to be a test as the wind was blowing right down the course. The wind made the course a real challenge as on half the holes it was on your back then coming back in your face. Hit a drive 274 yards one way 100 yards the opposite way.
Bunkers had deceptively soft fluffy sand in.
Lovely views of the surrounding area.
Clubhouse could do with a bit of TLC.
Friendly stewardess, lovely fish & chips after the round.
(Score 93 - Handicap 14) slashed to 11 as it was our final day : (
