quiet setting, fairly tough walk, fairly short and tight with a lot of doglegs. Condition good, practise and warm up facilities nice and close to clubhouse. Course has improved and matured substantially last ten or 15 years, pleasantly surprised. Rating about right on here, not quite up in the top echelon of herts courses but not far behind.

The staff were courteous and excellent. The food was great. The course is scenic but the greens had been treated 3 days before we played so not in tip top condition. Would love to play this course again in a months time to allow the spring and summer to take its effect!

Highly recommended. Reading the notice board the club is clearly striving to modernise yet maintain its feeling of a proper golf club. Practice facilities in very good order. Plenty of room for everything.

Good course, trip down memory lane for me as I made my county debut as a boy here. Well kept course with what I would describe as a fair challenge, tough to keep it together for the whole 18, but that could just be me!

Great condition and a very interesting course even off the Yellows. Do not be put off by a lack of length as the tree line fairway, strategic placed sand and water makes you think your way round.

Course in really good shape. Having said that there are 3 temp greens now. However it was still really enjoyable, from an excellent breakfast, a fun round to the drinks afterwards. A really nice setting.

Cracking course, in very good condition. Lots of tempting holes, but also lots of trees and carefully placed bunkers / hazards to ensure that the balance of risk and reward is 'fair'.
I was a guest of a greenkeeper who made the day really fun, so the staff are good company a well.
Only point to comment on is that they are lifting 6 greens next week for the winter, so the course will be at 66% for the remainder of 2009.

21st May; played as part of a golf society - Lovely looking course set down private lane with an old clubhouse greeting you. Some excellent staff within the club who could not do enough to look after you. The course was in excellent condition with pretty fast smooth greens, giving a very true line (if only I could read them!) The only let down was some of the members not being told by the club house that a society was in play and just trying to barge in between 4 balls. No course planners at all and oddly none of the tees were well identified ie no marker board identifying it (aside from a large coin in the turf! All that aside a beautiful sunny day was only spoiled by my golf! well worth a visit.

One of the best courses in Hertfordshire and only being 10 mins down the road from me will be one im gonna visit as much as I can.
Only downfall is there is so much interest in this club everytime I phone to play the course is shut for a certain amount of time because of events or competitions.
