Very nice course - worth visiting
Another great Society day at this venue. Tee boxes, airways and greens in very good condition for the time of year. Greens not easy, would be even more difficult in summer! Excellent service from all the staff both prior and during the event.Reviewer Rating

Amazing Greens
A great course always for a fair price and incredible green conditions. Some mud on the fairways but understandable in March.Reviewer Rating

Amazing condition for the time if year
Revisiting a great course in excellent condition. Some downside points - no prior warning that the par 3 6th was a temporary green. Also maybe up to half the tees were off mats. Most disappointing was news the kitchen was shut at 4:25. Not a problem but told open till 5.Reviewer Rating

Overpriced for visitors
Played through golfnow, paid 60 quid, it's firmly in 35-40 quid range in london. Course very muddy in october. Slow round on Sunday afternoon.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 93 Handicap: 17.5)

Decent Course
There were a lot of temporary greens due to previous heavy downpours. Holes that were open were generally in good nick but a lot of the greens had sand on them and/or were spiked.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 97 Handicap: 23.8)

Some of the hole positions seemed punishing being placed on significant slopes - you're in the hole or off the green! I managed to par the signature 17th Hole (labelled as the UK's favourite society hole) which was encouraging.

Exceptional course in immaculate condition.
The course is in immaculate condition. The greens are well taken care of and roll true. I used to be a member here 10 years ago and during that time they were working on the course installing drainage that would make the course playable year round. The work has definitely payed off. They have also taken the time to remove some of the unnecessary heather and undergrowth. This speeds up play and yet still provides a good challenge for golfer's of all capabilities. I would definitely recommend this course and I will be coming back again and am even contemplating becoming a member again.Reviewer Rating

Immaculate in every detail
What a great pleasure it is to play this course as it is easily one of the best in Hertfordshire at this time. The green staff have done a great job during lockdown and everything about the course is pristine. The greens are fast and true and it is a good test of your game.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 16.5)

Enjoyable visit
enjoyable course layout though nothing outstanding. The greens were in superb condition but some of the fairways have suffered badly in the drought. Tough greens to stay on. Quite a physical course to play. We were given excellent fish and chips after the game in a very pleasant clubhouse.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 92 Handicap: 12.5)

Swamp mire
Water logged mud bath. I know its November but expected better than that. Played a council course the day before and no mud surprise surprise!! Will probably play better in summer. Greens were good but everything else useless. Water logged tee boxes and bunkers. Waste of time and money playing here in the winter.Reviewer Rating

Very nice course
The course was in good shape overall. Great greens but the fairways a bit scruffy and some of the tee boxes could do with being levelled out a bit. Not nice getting uphill or downhill lies on the tee box!Pace of play was very good
