Played here about a dozen times this year and every time I've played it on the weekend there have been huge holdups. The first 4 par 4s are drivable so you get a lot of hackers thinking they can reach when they can't. Apart from that the course is decent and can be very enjoyable from shooting good scores.

Shambles, They had over booked, told us to play the back 9 first, then go back in to the club house to see what time we could go out to play front nine. By the time we walked back to the club we could have carried on ! They let a 4 ball go before us which caused a title hold up. The back nine played from 9 to 17 very confusing.we enjoyed the walk but not the golf shame

I played off of the yellow tees and found the course to be too short. There more some nicely designed holes but most where pretty forgettable. The course was in poor condition particularly fairways and greens. There was also no course furniture; ball cleaners, benches, tee information, detailed yardage markers or even bunker rakes! They have coped well with the loss of the 18th hole to building work. The shop and local players were very friendly and it was a nice enough round but there are cheap courses that are a lot better in the area.

Brandhall is a municipal in the heart of Sandwell, the course is a nice layout, pretty fair and mature, however being owned by the council, they milk it as a cash cow, cramming far too many people on the course, so weekends are a nightmare to get round, prepare for a 5 hour round on Sundays in the summertime. The facilities are also tired, the fairways often have kids playing football on them in summer, and I suspect the 'greenkeepers' wouldn't know a mower from a hoover, given the condition of the greens most of the year. Its a shame, as with good management and the right staff and a little more investment, Brandhall could be a real gem.

I have had a season ticket at brandhall for over 12 months and while brandhall offers good value for money and recently they are dealing with the drainage mid course the greens are in a terrible state!!!
Played here yesterday and 41 putted and i putted well! from 10ft if you two putted you we're lucky. I have played on better temps than these greens. IMO the should have put the course on temps for the winter but won't because of fear of lost revenue? I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY SEASON TICKET due to this.
The greens have signs of vandalism and very patchy and bobbly. If the greens could be sorted out then this would be a decent course but untill then i will be staying away.

Playing in the winter, you are never going to see a course at its best but, whilst very cheap and better than a lot of municipals, the course lay out was confusing when playing first time and the map you were given was less than helpful. It also got congested in parts with greens and tees close by (though not as bad as Harborne.)

Overall not too bad and certainly a good price but with Hilltop so close by for the same money you get a much better course
