Pleasantly surprised

Having been a member of this club 20 years ago, this was the first time I'd played the course since then. Everything about the course was so much better than I remembered. The greens, landscaped fairways and the ease of getting a tee time that suited us made it a very pleasurable round of golf. If this course was private there would be a waiting list for membership.

great course for the price, shame some of the greens are cut up in areas, but this is a municipal course so its to be expected

Play here a lot, very good municipal corse with some tricky little holes. Always playable although can be a bit boggy in places in the winter
Nice cafe.

Great course. Looked really good. However had to wait for groundsmen to work on one green before playing the hole.

Good value

I have played on this course for many years.Apart from the third hole which was squeezed in to make room for the motorway the holes are interesting to play. It is ideal for medium to high handicap players although a relative with a single figure handicap has told me he enjoyed it. The rough is not punitive but often trees penalise way wayward shots. You will not lose balls unless you go in the brook or the two ponds. It compares well with other municipal courses I have played on and even some of the private clubs I have played on. The staff are friendly and helpful.The cafe is fine but only open at weekends. Give it a go.

Good municipal corse

This course has improved vastly over the past few years, I remember when the greens were as hard as concrete, not anymore. The 2nd to the 6th holes are quite short and it's good to get a score out of these before the more difficult holes arrive.

Nice course

Nice easy parkland course with some short par 4s which bring birdies into play for your average handicap golfer. Part of the ex council course in Birmingham and probably the best one. Worth visiting the bar after, good and cheap
