Good value

I have played on this course for many years.Apart from the third hole which was squeezed in to make room for the motorway the holes are interesting to play. It is ideal for medium to high handicap players although a relative with a single figure handicap has told me he enjoyed it. The rough is not punitive but often trees penalise way wayward shots. You will not lose balls unless you go in the brook or the two ponds. It compares well with other municipal courses I have played on and even some of the private clubs I have played on. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cafe is fine but only open at weekends. Give it a go.

Ok course for a practice knock after work but not for a decent round. Greens are always too long and very slow with many more unrepaired pitchmarks than ever before. Twilight round at £11 is decent value but better courses in the area should be visited before playing here. Suffering from underfunding by the local council like many others courses.

Always worth a visit

Challenging at times, but nice local 18 hole course. They have some good offers too with various types of cards for discounts. Friendly staff and at times during the week a café and club house are open for drinks, snacks, refreshments, etc. Enjoy!

I played off of the yellow tees and found the course to be too short. There more some nicely designed holes but most where pretty forgettable. The course was in poor condition particularly fairways and greens. There was also no course furniture; ball cleaners, benches, tee information, detailed yardage markers or even bunker rakes! They have coped well with the loss of the 18th hole to building work. The shop and local players were very friendly and it was a nice enough round but there are cheap courses that are a lot better in the area.

Good municipal corse

This course has improved vastly over the past few years, I remember when the greens were as hard as concrete, not anymore. The 2nd to the 6th holes are quite short and it's good to get a score out of these before the more difficult holes arrive.

Nice course

Nice easy parkland course with some short par 4s which bring birdies into play for your average handicap golfer. Part of the ex council course in Birmingham and probably the best one. Worth visiting the bar after, good and cheap

Godd value and challenging!

Always enjoy playing this course. OK it's not the most well-maintained (Sandwell Council take note, the pro needs your support here!) but it's varied, interesting and tough in places. Great value too!
