This was my fiirst time back on a golfcourse in 4 years and I find that Bramcote is the ideal course for beginners. The first 4 holes are very tame and as long as you hit a good tee shot you should be ok although my putting let me down today. The 5th can be a little hard and the lake in front of green has become the final resting place of many stray balls. The 7th and 8th can also be a little tricky so it is also important to make a good tee shot. As stated the greens are a little poor and heavily sanded and there were 2 holes on the 3rd green which had not been filled in. I enjoyed the course it is challenging for a novice but a good course to get to grips on and help you improve confidence in your game.

As previous comments the greens are a little bit weedy. But i think the setting of the course is brilliant. The course is never going to a PGA course. it is what it is and if you want a game of golf at a not to hard course i recommend Bramcote!

Nice people who own it aswell.

Very Dissapointed.
Ths is our local course but have't played here for a few months. The quality of the fairway and greens is terrible. The greens are very weedy and bumpy. Could not gauge distance at all. The bunkers had almost no sand and the lip had overgrown with weeds. 2 greens had suffered some vandalism about 4 weeks ago, but very little effort has been made to repair. The cost (£10 for 9 holes-weekend rate) did not reflect the quality, much better is available in the area for similar money.
This has gone from a well kept interesting little cousre to a ploughed field with flags!! Sadly will not be returning until I hear that time has been spent to bring it back to former glory.

A short course with plenty of variety, it is in good condition and is well worth a visit considering the green fees are so reasonable.

Nice course you can get on pretty much anytime of the day during the week. But you will need to book at the weekend as it gets very busy. Nice friendly atmosphere though i have been going there for some years now as it very local to me . Would recomend going a having a game there to see if you agree.
