Fine
Interesting layout, more so on the back-9. Appreciate it was mid-April, but the course just looked a bit tired and in need of some TLC. The greens were quite poor.Reviewer Rating

When we played it they where sanding and raking on the greens which made it virtually impossible to put on them. Some good looking holes and lots of trees in your eye line off the tee. Would play it again butt not if working on the greens.

Please cut the grass!
Was lovely to spend a long weekend here with two golfing friends, a lovely course. However the grass at the edge of the fairway was allowed to get to a good 4" long and a ball landing in this can take a long time to find. These are not badly hit balls, by the end of the weekend we had all had a guts-full of searching for balls. The fact that we weren't holding others up must have meant others were suffering too, our 4 ball on the final day took five and a half hours, with buggies. No excuses for allowing the course to get like this when taking money off folk for the privilege of playing it.Reviewer Rating

Nice hotel setup for parkland golf. Range, net and putting green all at hand. Decent if unspectacular layout, ok condition and clearly set out. Slightly hard walk.
Some of the paths are very rough for trollies. Greens were punched for our visit so can’t really judge them. The long par 5 isn’t well thought out as a hole. It’s a reasonable slightly above average track but probably not the sort of course a visitor would come to Cornwall for.

Tough but enjoyable
Great course which I played whilst visiting the area for a week. Longer and tougher than my usual courses but well kept although greens were very bare perhaps because of the recent dry weather. Very long course and hilly and slopey in places and so good exercise!Reviewer Rating

Our ‘away day’
We have played Bowood Park many times. It is demanding but superb to play on. The course is kept in excellent conditions and all of our party of 19 commented on how much they enjoyed their day. Service from all staff was good and a pleasure to visit.Reviewer Rating

Superb Course
This is a lovely, well-maintained course, with a starter's hut that was actually manned, and course marshalls doing the rounds. Some very challenging holes, especially down in the valley bottom.Tee-boxes, fairways, bunkers & greens were all in good condition.
Reception/Starter were very friendly and welcoming.

Great coarse
Great coarse fast greens and very tough roughHotel is ok but food was poor and service was horrendous and general manager is rude (Simon), arrogant and has no idea of what customer service is and couldn't run a bath yet alone a hotel. Would play the golf coarse again but wouldn't stay at the hotel.??

Well worth a visit
Just had a 2 night 3 round stay, we had a fantastic time, great accomodation, good food and friendly staff. Course was in great condition, just one fault for me was the tee position on the 15th a tree right in the line of driving, it really spoilt the end of the round for me. Great value for money
Bowood Park is a challenging course in great condition and excellent value for money. When we visited the greens had just been scarified so we're not at their best but it didn't stop everyone fully enjoying a round of golf on a challenging course with some great holes.Reviewer Rating

Good venue for societies
West Country gem. I played Bowood Park whilst on a holiday break, staying in Tintagel. The course is a decent test of any standard without being overly difficult. The views around are really good and although I ate in the bar afterwards and if this is a decent reflection of the restaurant food the this of a high quality. Overall it ticks all boxes for a visit by a society. In my case, distance would be an issue for my motley crew.Reviewer Rating

Course in superb condition with fast, true greens, some challenging holes, also some small ponds to avoid. Staff very good as always and the food is very tasty. Well worth a visit to this lovely area of Cornwall i don't think you'll regret it.
