Played on all 18 winter greens; the majority of them were as good as many greens are in spring, if a little small. A very enjoyable winter round.

Only my second round of golf but course much harder and rewarding than Bedlington, my other local. Two great water holes, and a chalenge throughout the round. Plus used vouchers to half the cost!! Can't wait to play again in the next few weeks!

Pleasant course with friendly staff. Good variation of holes, with well protected greens. Wayward tee shots will be punished hard. There are lots of bunkers, so you may well get plenty of bunker practise. Been twice this week, and both times the course was quite busy.

Blyth is a pleasant parkland course with a good mixture of holes - doglegs to the left and right and 2 par 3's over water. The first 6 holes provide a stern opening and if you can play to your handicap on these holes you are set up for a decent score on the more picturesque back nine. Everyone is friendly on and around the course, especially the staff in the modern bar which overlooks the 1st tee.

Superb!

'a course in stunningly good condition and a tribute to the Blyth Club'
Alan Hedley, Golf Editor of the Newcastle Journal comments on the presentation of the course for the NUGC County Amateur Championships held July 2005.

'Blyth was absolutely fabulous and the people there were just wonderful. The fairways were in very good condition and the greens small tricky little suckers but they were very good quality. The club is well worth a visit, the clubhouse and hospitality are second to none'
Glenn Turner, PGA Professional on his visit to Blyth as part of his World Record Golf Tour, 8th May 2006. See News item added 12th May 2006 and Gallery Page.
