Great course super layout
I was unaware that the course was designed by Dr Alister Mackenzie and purely based on this I played the course and loved it. Yes there are there maybe more challenging and exclusive courses in the area however this provided a true challenge. The course has a number of doglegs and position is everything par 3?s are well protected by bunkers. Course was playing short due to the very dry conditionsScore 80 Handicap 13

Mack Golf should be ashamed
I played here last summer and the course was much improved, apparently mainly thanks to new staff. There appears to have been little or no investment since then and the head greenkeeper has left, which is understandable. Some holes are unplayable due to wet conditions ie up to your ankles in mud when Mack Golf website says the course is open, no buggies or trolleys. I appreciate we've had a wet season but the total lack of investment is now obvious. Talking to a few poor members, it seems a lot will not be renewing their membership this April.I don't blame them. Mack Golf need to put serious investment here and reinstate the good staff or else this place will revert to Blackpool Council who will be happy to sell it for unaffordable housing. Shame. It used to be good. Mack Golf should be ashamed to let good staff go and not invest at all in the course.I will not be back.

Good Course
good layout, plenty of rough, but generally fair. Opening nine is a better layout, the group of holes across the road (3rd - 9th) is particularly good and challenging. back 9 is a bit more straightforward but by no means easy. good mix of long and short par 4s, interesting par 3s and a couple of shortish par 5s. nice clubhouse and friendly. recommended !Reviewer Rating

Pleasantly surprised.
To give some context....Good Friday, ?15 a round, everywhere else fully booked....course was thus very busy. However, once off the first tee the pace of play was ok. The course is actually very good. Undulation changes, some tough par 4s, the par 3s are all a challenge with good bunkering. Was it in great condition, not really (bumpy greens and some boggy fairways) but would I return for ?15? Definitely.Reviewer Rating

Nice track
I really enjoyed Stanley Park, its a nice municipal. Nicely laid out with some interesting holes, especially on the front 9, once you cross the road. There are a couple of short par 4's to have a go at & all the par 3's are very nice.
Greens are in good condition & it looks like they are working hard to make the course even better.
Top that off with some really friendly locals, all in all a really pleasant experience.

Good Condition and great value
In better condition than I've seen it for ages, good to see the groundstaff out raking bunkers and moving pin positions as we were going round.Used to play the park a lot but the greens got to be so poor it wasn't enjoyable. Good to see them in far better nick, a couple were a bit woolly and lacking grass but still better than they were

lot of work to do
I've played Stanley park a lot over the years and fair to say its had its ups and downs. link golf took over last year and have been doing a lot of work to get it back to its best. played a few days ago for the first time this year and had high expectations in light of this. very disappointed.difficult to see what actually has been "improved". fairways as always to long and indistinct from rough. greens were pretty shocking, weeds and damage, some from vandals on motorbikes which is not directly the teams fault but unplayable in places. bunkers which you would think are the easiest fix were like gravel pits. tee boxes not mowed.

Poorly maintained
Terrible greens and obviously being run down by council. To add insult to injury massive raw sewage leak on some holes with JCB on fairwaysReviewer Rating
