What the club says: The course is suitable for golfers of all ages and abilities. The flat parkland layout is easy on the legs, yet the narrow fairways and water hazards make it a challenge. The 9 holes are played over 48 acres of parkland terrain with a par of 35 and a yardage of 2980 yards. Competition players use a secondary set of tees giving a fresh challenge on almost all the holes. On several holes the length changes by up to 70 yards substantially changing the character of the holes.

My experience's @ Poulton-le-Fylde Golf Club

First visit - Arrived, paid ourselves in. Asked for score card and pen. Two pens on the desk and the pro is trying to sell me a pack of pencils. In the end he Wouldn't let us take one of his pens to keep score. It was an evening tee time around 6pm. Mid week. Confronted by a gang of 9 teenagers on the 9th tee at around 8pm. They Seem to have a den in the bushes on the 9th.... Our second visit.. . Brought my own pen this time
Confronted by 5 guys in tracksuits and drinking cans of stella whilst playing the 4th fairway. They all had a set of clubs at least...
Not what I expect at any golf course.
If your up for a possible fight or a confrontation or if you would like to get drunk and play in your work clothes then I would highly recommend this place...

Even though it was played in winter months the course was dry with only the slightest of dew on the grass. Course is slightly undulating but this can be a challenge to all handicaps and does not detract from having a good time.

As a new member to the club in May 2015. I have found the Senior Section to be the most openly friendly of any club I have been a member of. I have just moved to the Fylde area, if any one has an interest in golf over the age of 60- This is the golf club to join. You will never be left on your own. Seniors play every Mon- Wed and Fri, its £2.00 including a mug of tea or coffee and at Membership Fee of £285 per annum. It has to be probably The Best Value in England.
