What the club says: Just 500 yards from the North Promenade, this links course is relatively flat compared to most as it uses natures elements to make the rolling fairways and large greens testing to all handicappers. It has been used as an Open Championship qualifying course on more than one occasion and is a real gem of the north. The renowned H S Colt designed the course in 1920 with very few changes being made since to this entertaining track.

North Shore Gem
Recently visited Blackpool North Shore Golf Club for a match. What an interesting find this was, on my first visit. Driving along the road to the Club, there was no hint of what was to greet me.Firstly, what a fantastic Clubhouse, and the breakfast rolls were fabulous.
Other than the practice putting area, I didn't avail myself of any other practice facilities.
Onto the course, standing on the first tee, an incredible sight to see almost all the front 9 laid out before me, lots of undulations, down, across up, interesting layout.
What looks like a Links, wants to be a Links, is not a Links, not Parkland, not Heathland, but plays like a Links, it's Blackpool North Shore. It sounds crazy, but this incredible course, doesn't know what it is.
Great range of holes, love the par 3s, and what a finishing hole the uphill 18th is, playing back up to the impressive Clubhouse.
I know there are more illustrious and lauded neighbourhood courses, but, for the price of a round here, just get yourself to Blackpool North Shore, you will love it.
Ps maybe go on a day when the wind is below 25 mph, if that's possible on the Fylde Coast.

Very welcoming course
Staff were pleasant and genuinely pleased to receive visitors. Wide fairways allow forgiving drives. Greens were excellent and true. A hidden gem on tge Fylde Coast!Reviewer Rating

always enjoy north shore. great condition this time as usual. staff always pleasant and helpful. links style with narrow fairways but open rough areas. can be tight when its crowded but not a real problem. wind usually plays a part here but all in all very enjoyable course.

Tough knock in the rain.
A nice open looking course but when the rain and wind is up, it really shows it’s teeth as it’s hard to sometimes distinguish the fairway and the cuts of rough. The rough was deep in places and needed Popeyes’ forearms to get back in play. Hard to find your ball in there.Greens were excellent. Knowing which line to hit on a few blind holes wasn’t easy either so once played, that knowledge helps. Clubhouse was looking tired and no chef working when we played, but the bar staff girl worked hard to serve us drinks and snacks and batches.
All in all a pleasant and challenging experience and worth playing.

Top golf course
Lovely golf course, A warm welcome from Paul at check in, course in perfect condition, played during a mini heat wave with a gentle breeze , it wasn't showing it's teeth but still a great test of golf!I wouldn't recommend this course to high handicappers , if the wind blows they?d run up a cricket score, links golf is a different ball game. First time at Blackpool north ,I didn't play great golf but I?d love to play this course again now I have some course knowledge.

great links course

Good considering weather
The course was in great condition considering the weather we've had. Greens were absolutely fantastic.Bunkers lacked a bit of sand & 4 holes closed was disappointing, but otherwise very good.
The guys in the shop were great & gave us a friendly welcome.
All in all a good experience.

Greta course now greens are sorted
I've always like North Shore but the greens and catering let the side down when I visited in April 2017. After playing there July 2017 it's great to report that both are now sorted. The course is always in good condition, the Professional's Shop is well stocked and the staff very helpful. The catering and the clubhouse are of the highest standard. Best value Open competitions anywhere.

Played here a few times before and always enjoy it. Unfortunately the greens had just been tined and made putting a bit of a lottery, normally greens very good. A very open layout, but rough quite difficult to get out of if straying to wide. Fairly easy walk around. Friendly welcome in pro shop and clubhouse, food always good.
