Played here on a society day and it was great from start to finish. Friendly welcome, good breakfast and nice practice area. Played both courses and if pushed would say the red is the better course, although the greens were very sandy having been recently dressed. The blue course is flatter with some slightly longer holes, whilst the red course is played over more undulating and varied terrain with some shorter, but tighter holes. Both courses require very straight hitting and good course management, as the gorse and heather will eat up any stray shots. The par 5’s are fairly short by modern standards, which gives you a chance to increase your score. All in all a great venue with 2 great courses and would love to return.

A playable Sunningdale. Cracking course but doesn't totally kill you for the odd bad shot (unless you go on the fern )

Greens had been sanded and drilled. Putting was therefore more difficult to judge.

Beautifully prepared course. Greens were in great shape and fairways were good too. Bunkers well kept. A great course, even the weather was perfect.

Not cheap but worth every penny. The combined effect of the courses themselves, the atmosphere and the welcome (from the staff and the friendly natives alike) is without equal in my experience.

We played on a glorious summer Friday afternoon yet saw only four other golfers in the course of our 18 holes - now that could never be said of some of The Berkshire's higher profile "neighbours".

Played in early Jan and course had drained very well despite very heavy rain during the week. Played the Blue course , most holes were a good test with superb greens. Quite expensive green fees but excellant practice facilities and club house hospitality.

Quite a beautiful & stunning heathland course, the fairways may not be the lush green carpets of other famous courses but this course has a feel to it that makes it just that little bit special. The mature trees, the rolling fairways the rugged looking bunkers and the gorgeous heather make this course appear as if it has always been here. It looks like a creation of nature, what better compliment could the designer ask for, this course looks as though it is a natural feature of the land.
