played this course through a groupon deal and to be honest it will be the last! Its not golf shoes you require, its hiking boots! Never have i came across a course so hilly in my life. To be fair the course is beautifully maintained and the greens were in perfect condition, but if your looking for a nice lesiurely game i would try somewhere else

First time playing this course (as I got a deal through Groupon) and thoroughly enjoyed it. First hole gives you an idea of what to expect...fairly hilly with few tight fairways.

Ok, the "clubhouse" doesnt look like much but the service we got was really friendly and you can't beat the breakfast butties....

Will definitely be back to play here...

One word to describe this course is "Hilly". Too many hills, too many banked fairways. The greens were in good condition but overall experience rates poorly due to the member hurrying you along and being very ignorant.

Not the longest test, but rewarding if you are accurate!

The front 9 is quite hilly with a few blind holes, but some fantastic views over to Arran from the higher up holes. Quite a bit of gorse, so take plenty of balls!

The back 9 opens out a little but still has some testing holes including what I regard as the most difficult, the 10th, where your tee shot has to make it across a tractor path & burn, whilst the 2nd shot has to negotiate a row of trees that seem as if they are 100 feet tall as you are playing up hil to a blind green!

There is a fair bit of work being done on the course at the moment (spring 2007) including improved drainage and a new greenkeepers store, so this should reap rewards later in the year.

The clubhouse is always very welcoming if a little small, but the food and drink are well priced.

There is no pro shop, practice green or driving range and the changing rooms are pretty basic portacabin type things, but this is more than made up for with the great views & on-course challenges!

A tricky test of a course that seems harder than the par 68 it is! First 10 holes are a bit up & down with a few blind holes and some narrow fairways (watch out for the gorse!)

The last 8 holes open out a little with fantastic views from the 11th Tee.

The clubhouse has just been refurbished and is great value if you want something simple.
