good course, greens and fairways in good condition, course has lots of hills so be prepared for a climb or two. This was the first time playing this here and without the map that we had to buy it would confusing trying to navigate the course

A little hilly but great lil course. Challenging don't let the hills put you off.

Played the course on a winter offer with three of my workmates, greens were excellent as was the food on return. There are hills, especially on the front 9 but it makes it a different challenge from "ordinary" courses. Will be back!

Played this through a groupon deal which was great value (£24 for 36 holes and + roll and tea / coffee for 2) the course was in great condition and was hillier than anything I've seen or played before. The slopes made it challenging and played a lot longer than the yardage would make you think. Tough par 3s and overall a challenging but enjoyable course. Clubhouse staff and all members we spoke to we're very friendly and welcoming. Would definetly visit again but probably just of 18 as after 36 I was completely knackered.

First time playing this course (as I got a deal through Groupon) and thoroughly enjoyed it. First hole gives you an idea of what to expect...fairly hilly with few tight fairways.

Ok, the "clubhouse" doesnt look like much but the service we got was really friendly and you can't beat the breakfast butties....

Will definitely be back to play here...

Played the course as part of a 3man texas scramble team on a open day. Very hilly 1st 9/10 holes but also very enjoyable. A lot of blind shots so a lot of balls required if you've not been before. The back 9 is made seperate to make it an 18hole course and this is very obvious. Simple flatish holes back and forth and in my opinion quite boring. I payed £7 as part of a team in a open day and if I seen it cheap on groupon or something I mite play it again. But I would ask if I could play the 1st 9 twice as on a complete different level from back 9. All in all I would say reasonable course with some nice views. Not for people who don't like hills though because there are loads of them. Better courses in the area but they cost more aswel so decently fair price

Not the longest test, but rewarding if you are accurate!

The front 9 is quite hilly with a few blind holes, but some fantastic views over to Arran from the higher up holes. Quite a bit of gorse, so take plenty of balls!

The back 9 opens out a little but still has some testing holes including what I regard as the most difficult, the 10th, where your tee shot has to make it across a tractor path & burn, whilst the 2nd shot has to negotiate a row of trees that seem as if they are 100 feet tall as you are playing up hil to a blind green!

There is a fair bit of work being done on the course at the moment (spring 2007) including improved drainage and a new greenkeepers store, so this should reap rewards later in the year.

The clubhouse is always very welcoming if a little small, but the food and drink are well priced.

There is no pro shop, practice green or driving range and the changing rooms are pretty basic portacabin type things, but this is more than made up for with the great views & on-course challenges!

A tricky test of a course that seems harder than the par 68 it is! First 10 holes are a bit up & down with a few blind holes and some narrow fairways (watch out for the gorse!)

The last 8 holes open out a little with fantastic views from the 11th Tee.

The clubhouse has just been refurbished and is great value if you want something simple.
