My favourite course!
Played here for about 15 years from late 70s. Lovely interesting course. Friendly to beginners whilst still being a good challenge to good players my best round was 79 so I''m no expert but was pretty decent eventually!Reviewer Rating

A lovely mature Parkland course sat in the art of Basildon providing a green oasis for golfers. past 72 and just under 6300 yards long, Basildon is the ideal opportunity for golfers to enjoy the best value for money in Essex. Basildon Golf Club
Wow what a turn around, I hadn’t played this course for years and I could not believe how it had changed. I believe it got taken over and hats off to whoever took what used to be a neglected lost cause. They have an amazing putting green, the greens were superb to put on and the whole course was in good condition. Club house was good and the staff and green staff were freindly. Will definitely play again. Great value for money.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 76 Handicap: 1.7)

Played today Sunday 2nd May 2021.course in excellent condition, greens very quick. Not the longest course but some thoughtful and testing holes. Great course well worth a visit.

Brilliant course - great value
Loved this course again - even better now the bar is open

first visit, wont be the last
this was my first visit to this course and it will not be my last. We played a twilight round and as you expect, it was busy but for ?11 it was one of the best I have had. The fairways are defined well, the greens were in excellent condition and you could get a beer at the end. If I have a criticism, it would be to say that on the blind holes where you play over the hill, it is in need of a bell as you have no idea of the whereabouts of group in front, but that is my only negative to a very nice challenging course for someone like me with a 26 handicap going round in 99Reviewer Rating

Getting back to its best!
I have to be honest and say that Basildon Golf course fell off my radar about 10 years ago, and at the time I was playing here almost every week, but the course and clubhouse was not being looked after properly, so I almost just forgot the place existed. All I can say is a very well done to the new owners, the course was back to its "Pristine" best. Looked gorgeous and still remains one of the most challenging courses to play in Essex, I will be back.Reviewer Rating
