Decidedly average

Front 5/6 fairways overgrown with daisies. Course needs a fair amount of TLC upkeep wise.
Setting is actually rather nice for being a city course.

I'm lead to believe this used to be a nice course. Unfortunately this didn't translate when I visited. It is located in a tricky area and has problems with non patrons causing problems. Course has a nice layout but was in poor condition I'm not sure if it's a funding issue or quality issue. It is a shame and I hope it does improve as it has potential

Changed Days

When you ask people if they have played at this course, the vast majority of people will come away with some pre 1980's story about kids scrambling with motorbikes and stealing balls. But yet here we are in the 21st century and still we have people passing judgement on a course they played 5, 10 and even 15 years ago. Yes the course may have had its problems but with the employment of an enthusiastic Greenkeeping Team, the somewhat neglected course is starting to take shape. There are in fact some really nice holes and some of really challenging ones. It is not by any means an easy course. Great rates for single rounds and very reasonable membership rates. To anyone who may have left a negative review in the past, please give the course another bash (when it is back on summer greens) I promise you will see a vast difference.

First round of the year, bit hit and miss, no pun intended! Course was in OKAY condition, greens need a lot of work, but overall not in too bad shape considering the situation with the shutdown.

Could be a gem

Played twice recently. A good challenge from tee to green. Good value at £17.50. Some very good holes but not the longest course I've played. The only negative and it's a big one. Was the rate and pace of the greens. Greens were very patchy and super slow. If they were improved it would be a delight to play.

Course overall good but clearly funding is an issue as requires at least to employ someone to maintain bunkers and restore some if not all fairway bunkers.

The course was nice but not having played there before we found that the signage telling you where the next tee was lacking. The man at the starters box was not friendly at all. All we got was have you booked right on you go.

Very welcoming

I had some time to kill before a return flight to Manchester so decided to call at Auchmill Golf Club. As there was never any intention to play golf I had no clubs, balls, or tee.
On arrival the staff were very welcoming and wanted to help me play, I was introduced to Kenny. Kenny provided me with a set of clubs and tees (I believe they were his personal set) and I bought some balls and paid for a round.
Unfortunately Kenny wasn't around when I finished the round otherwise I would have bought him a pint as a thank you.
Well done all at the golf club, keep up the good work.

Recently played here and I found myself to be very impressed with this course. Some very daunting holes, particulary on the front 9 with lots of sloping fairways, might be best to leave the driver in the bag for that.
The condition of the course and the greens in particular are fantastic.

Fantastic course!

On holiday for the week and googling local courses found Auchmill. The first 2 holes leave you thinking 'It's OK' but then you hit your drive on 3 and get into the course proper. From here on in the course is amazing! Fairways, greens all fantastic; the views brilliant and lots of feature holes. Don't hesitate to visit and next time we are in Aberdeen we'll be going back!!!
