The biggest letdown is the fact that there is no Clubhouse which is a big drawback.
For me the fact that it plans to remain a Nine Hole Course is a major advantage, juggling a busy work / family balance as so many of us do, the chance to go and enjoy a quick Nine holes even teeing off at Eight PM is a massive bonus.
If you are in The Auchenblae / Laurencekirk Area with a couple of hours to spare and fancy some peace and quite in a lovely setting give it a try.

Hidden gem in the Mearns
Auchenblae is a welcoming wee 9 hole course. The fairways are narrow although the rough isn't too punishing. The greens are small and there are strategically placed bunkers around most of them. If you play 18 holes the 13th has a separate green from the 4th. The starter sells teas and coffees and a small selection of sweets and bottled soft drinks.Reviewer Rating
