What the club says: The Medal Course has all the key ingredients to make up one of the utmost challenges in the world of golf – rugged and undulating (yet an easy walk), some deep bunkers, springy yet quick draining turf, bountiful gorse, sand dunes aplenty and fantastic greens. A number of the holes run alongside the rugged Angus coastline offering some stunning scenery.
The Broomfield is not as 'power' course requiring drives of hundreds of yards. The key to conquering this deceptive course is a delicate touch and the ability to accurately control the ball from the tee. Especially when the East wind blows (which it has been known to do!), the Broomfield can prove to be a significant challenge

5th oldest course in the world
What an absolute gem of a course.First used in 1582. Magnificent location by the sea. This was a real pleasure and a memorable experience.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 101 Handicap: 17.2)

(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 87 Handicap: 8.6)

(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 93 Handicap: 15.8)

Short Links Well Worth a Play
A tidy little Links, an ideal place for a quick round. Played in less than 3 hours Saturday afternoon. Small greens and the breeze provide the test, Some tough rough, but genuine Links ground. Ample hospitality round as well, in a historic golfing territory(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 85 Handicap: 21.7)

I shot an 84 where as at Arbroath Elliot I shoot mid 90s
But if your a beginner/amateur this is a great little course to start with to help with confidence and work on your basics. It's always dead too if your worried about too many folk watching.
Long par 3s are challenging and need a good long iron shot

(Round played: Jun 2016 - Score: 82 Handicap: 11.8)

(Round played: Mar 2016 - Score: 90 Handicap: 18.5)

(Round played: May 2015 - Score: 69 Handicap: 13.5)
