What The Club Says

Auchenblae is a short but demanding nine-hole course hidden away in rural Aberdeenshire. It is, however, easily accessible from the A90. Boasting picturesque views of the local countryside and beyond, this course is rather pleasing on the eye - that doesn't mean it can't throw up a challenge or two.

Auchenblae is a nine hole course set in lovely parklands. It's relatively short, but this does not mean it is easy. The greens are tight and hitting them and having your ball stay on them is a challenge. There is a good mix of par 3's and 4's and the 32 par for 9 holes is a lot harder to achieve than you'd think. Its has not club house per se, but has shop and toilet facilities. At ?20 for 18 holes it is excellent value. With no clubhouse it often feels like a no pressure private golf course.

Hidden gem in the Mearns

Auchenblae is a welcoming wee 9 hole course. The fairways are narrow although the rough isn't too punishing. The greens are small and there are strategically placed bunkers around most of them. If you play 18 holes the 13th has a separate green from the 4th. The starter sells teas and coffees and a small selection of sweets and bottled soft drinks.

Pretty little course in the countryside, not vey long so pretty easy to get a decent score on.........I am about 20 handicap on a regular par 72 18 holer and about a 12 handicapper here
