What the club says: Edzell Old Course - Designed by top golfer architect Bob Simpson, the 18-hole par 71 course at The Edzell Golf Club was originally laid out in 1895 and amended some thirty-none years later in line with recommendations from the legendary James Braid. With a virtually unchanged layout it is now complemented by a 9-hole West Water Course which was brought into play in 2001.
West Water Course - The 9 hole West Water course was designed by Graeme Webster and was opened in 2001. This par 32 layout is predominantly flat parkland and all fairways are tree-lined. The 7th and 8th holes border the West Water and are particularly scenic.

West Water course
The 9 hole course at Edzell is really good for beginners and experienced golfers. Great condition, fairways and greens although a couple of the bunkers have a few stones in them but they all getting upgraded son.Reviewer Rating

Well Maintained Course
As in the title, well manicured, interesting selection of holes and a challenge for all levels. Set in a beautiful village, the walk home on the 18th back to the village is one of the best, to hospitality 2nd to none. Car parking a bit of a squeeze but thats nit picking.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful course

Cruden Bay is a great Golf Club all round. Extremely well run, great facilities, great course & spectacular views.Certainly well worth going the extra mile to get there

A lovely course with a wonderful backdrop and surprises everywhere. The stretches from 2-4, 7-9 and 14-16 are all top class, especially 8, 9, 14 and 16. 2, 5, 11, and 13 are all tough par 4s (over 425 yards) and there are plenty of blind shots on the course, but with a helpful course guide on the scorecard you know where you're going on the 2nd, 3rd and 18th. Lovely staff and members. Being in a long queue having teed off at 12:15 was never so pleasurable! Really is one of the hidden gems of Scotland.
