What The Club Says
Originally laid out by Old Tom Morris and later redesigned by James Braid the course at Forfar is set on beautiful wooded heathland. The terrain is almost ‘links’ like with undulating fairways lined by Scots Pine and lovely views towards the Angus Glens. With very little walking between green and next tee, generous fairways and excellent greens this compact course is easily completed in 3 ½ hours and is a must visit for any golf historian or golfer looking for a truly unique experience that will live long in the memory.

Lovely Parkland Course
Relatively short with just one par five, Forfar is a course well worth playing if in the area. Some holes are in close proximity so stay alert in case of wayward shots from elsewhere. The fairways are very rutted in places, which can often punish what might at first appear to be a perfect dive.Reviewer Rating

Ana amazing rolling course.
This is an inland course that is an excellent test of skill and placement. Several holes you are hitting blind so have to maneuver rather than driver out and bash it down the middle. Very rolling fairways so depends which way your ball will roll when it hits the ground. Made to feel very welcome in both the Pro shop and the Club afterwards. We sat and had a drink out on the benches on the outside area by the 18th green. Very relaxing after the round to chat and chill. Overall give it a try and you will not be disappointed.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: 12.3)

Scenic and Tight.
Was very impressed with this course. Lots of rolling fairways and tight legs. Some great scenic holes. If you can keep the ball staright then you can hope to score well. Give it a try if you are ever up in Tayside and you will enjoy it. With this current dry weather then a simple bump and run was proving dividends as opossed to throwing it up in the air every time.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 83 Handicap: 13.8)
