What the club says: Ballumbie Castle golf course's terrain sweeps and turns with no two holes the same. Most clubs in the bag will be used but not necessarily a driver off every tee, especially for the first six holes of the course where position is more important than distance.
The most difficult stretch of the course starts at the 10th, a par four with a burn running next to the fairway and a sloping bank to the right, as well as a pond to the left of the green. It is followed by a long 210-yard par three with water a big danger, then another par three at only 156 yards that can catch people out with its sloping green. This section of the course, though short, catches out many unsuspecting golfers. The 13th is a testing 535-yard, par five uphill and usually into the wind.

Ballumbie first time
Lovely course, lot more difficult than first glance, very tough ground conditions, rock hard greens but in fantastic condition. Would definitely like to play here again.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 104 Handicap: 20.5)

Great Course. well worth a trip.
This is a great course which is at the back of Dundee. Quite up and down for the first 4 holes, however after that its flat enough not to take the breath away unlike the 3rd. lol. Several holes you are hitting blind so aim for the markers. The rough is not to be tampered with. Overall very enjoyable and worth a trip if you are in the area. Made to feel very welcome and a friendly atmosphere.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 13.2)

Great
This is a cracking course worth all the money you pay and if you like walking this will test your endurance

Golf Outing
We had a golf outing here for 16 players and we cannot fault the course or the hospitality we received. The catering afterwards was also first class.Would recommend for another golf outing.

Great Course.
Great Course situated just outside Dundee. Some great holes that are fairly wide so you can give the driver a good bash. Couple of blind holes where placing is quite crucial for your second shot. Great driving range that is highly fenced off running alongside the 1st hole. Give it a try and I think you will enjoy the variety of the holes.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 87 Handicap: 13.8)

Beautiful Course
Played this for the first time. First 4 or 5 holes are very up and down. The 3rd is like Cardiac Hill. However, after that what a great course. Some great blind holes where you are aiming for the marker poles as there are some very long Par 4s. Fantastic finishing hole. Please give it a try, you will not be disappointed.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 91 Handicap: 13.5)

Pro shop and starters box is a wooden hut but does the job well enough.
Won't be my last visit

Fantastic course - challenging yes. But total enjoyment from start to finish.
Condition - well kept, beautiful fairways, fast greens, and a joy to play.
The clubhouse is really accommodating with warm and friendly staff - Good meal too.
Id score Ballumbie 5 out of 5 - I'll be back !
