Great condition
Bearing in mind recent wet weather the course was in great condition. Full summer tees and greens. Greens need to be shortened to increase speed but staff have been avoiding damage during wet weather. Great value at ?10pp all day, and ?5pp after 1700 on twilight.Reviewer Rating

Great value for money overall

Value for Money!
Great undulating and challenging course with very friendly members. Made to feel welcome whilst out on the course and afterwards in the bar for a quick pint!(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 122 Handicap: 22.5)

testing, fun course
Interesting and challenging holes, with a number of elevated tees. Steep slopes so electric trolly very handy. Greens are of a high standard considering the course is also exposed to the public. Food and drink facilities lacking and closed on some days of the week. Paid ?12 for mid week round, so great value for money.Reviewer Rating

GoodCourse/Reasonable Price
Played on Saturday morning. Course good, greens and fairways in great condition. Pint and a chip cob in the clubhouse after. All at a reasonable price.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 110 Handicap: 26.6)

It could be the best course in Derbyshire. The parkland generally drains well and with mature trees and hills it's a test for any Golfer. Two things let the course down. 1) Dog walkers who have no common sense. 2) A lack of investment in recent years. The greens are being made smaller, to save on maintenance I expect. The course could also do with some new bunkers to make it even tougher. The club house could be amazing with some investment and a real asset to the council. The round is excellent value, but I would be willing to pay more if the investment hit the course.
