Last ever game at this lovely course. The council in its wisdom has allowed it to fold. I'll miss it and so will hundreds of others.

Cracking course - play while you can!

Fave course in region, Great views, well maintained greens and fairways. Closing at end of year as the building has been purchased as a wedding venue but no plans to maintain course (my understanding). Play it while you can.

A Quiet Gem, Soon go be Gone?

I have lived locally to Allestree Park Golf Club for many years and have only just played here, well now don't I feel foolish... the GC is in consultation as the house has been sold and the new owners are not interested in running a Golf Course, this means there is s possibility the APGC could soon be no more!
Well I hope that isn't the case as APGC is marvellous, undulating hills, great views, a punishing course but with high rewards for those that dare! The course was in good condition albeit a little boggy from the rain, it has still been well kept, very slow greens on a wet and misty morning turned into very fast greens for the latter half of the round as they dried out.
A must after most 18s is the Clubhouse, whilst dated, it offers a fair range of products and whilst the inside is a little drab if you sit outside, with the view of the garden over towards the lake, this more than makes up for the dates decor, the lady on the bar was pleasant and helpful.
All in all, this GC may not be here for much longer and I would thoroughly recommend playing it of you can, you'll not be disappointed... unless you dislike hills...

Keith

This course has to be the best value golf in the area, played on a beautiful July evening with wonderful views over the Derwent valley for £5! The course is undulating and challenging, greens can be a little slow but in nice condition,
well done to all the green staff.

Played 18 at Allestree for the first time in 3 years this morning (break from Golf) and I was very impressed. Greens were running much faster than I ever remember and very true. Fairways, Bunkers, Rough, Tee Boxes all great...nothing to complain about other than a bit of rusty Golf!

What a fantastic little course. Holes 3, 5, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17 are great holes that would not be out of place on any golf course. The par 3 17th in particular is stunning. Course in very good condition and well presented. Greens very slow. More effort into quickening the greens and a little fairway bunkering would make this course the best in Derby. £14.50 for a mid-week round.

Very tricky course with many challenging holes.
First time for nearly a year and pleased with the performance and the course was kept very. The greens were very good and at some holes very hard to judge.
Keeps you fit too
