What a shame! The greens were in very poor condition and the fact there were dog walkers on every hole did not help, especially when dogs were supposed to be kept on leads when on the course, dog muck on the tees need I say more!

Vast potential - shame...
The conditions of the greens are just not good enough. However, the potential considering the layout and views of the course could make it one of the best in the area. Needs investment and a little TLC.Reviewer Rating

Winter Golf
Enjoyed the round yesterday. Winter conditions on tee mats throughout. Downside that the greens were too slow and needed some attention. Clubhouse beer and food all good.Reviewer Rating

Played allestree lots of times but not for a while now, played today, greens could of been whipped, couldn't believe how slow the greens were, still a very pretty course, always worth a visit so please alestree,"whip the greens"

Terrible weather but the course held up pretty well. Eight winter greens is a measure of how muddy it was

Too many winter greens in use for my liking (4 of the first 5 holes), about 9 in total. Course was very wet and boggy, clearly struggles to drain. Bunkers in better condition than the last time I played there. A lovely course, just needs a big fence round it to keep the dog walkers off and a doubling of the green fee to improve the facilities! (would still be cheap). Will play again in the summer only.

I wish we would have known that allestree golf course is now on temporary tees and greens for all 18 holes !!!!
I guess I should ring ahead next time instead of booking straight away on tee times, lessons learnt
