Fantastic course lived in Sheffield 35 years and first time played , what a beautiful well presented course and facilities very challenging and very well kept credit is due to the greens staff for this top notch course
will most definitly be playing here again

Fantastic condition - bunkers full of sand and course well drained despite heavy overnight rain. Good beer as well.

Welcoming to a couple of visitors.
Really good golf course.
Beautifully manicured (esp. tees).
£20 twilight rate almost too good to be true.
Very pretty barmaid.

Great course with a good range of holes. A first shot course .... drive well and you;ll score but off target and you're generally in trouble!

Great course, excellent value for money on the twilight fee. Beautiful condition even in these dry conditions. Fairways running hard, but greens immaculate.

£20 twilight rate, superb value. Experienced many golf courses in the Sheffield area for around the same price point, albeit £20 is their standard rate it has to be said that around that price point Abbeydale blows them away. From the level, well cut tee boxes to the beautifully mown fairways and manicured 1st and 2nd cuts of rough right down to the firm, yet receptive (and deceptive) greens which are protected by some very well kept and aesthetically pleasing bunkers, this course is as good as it gets (without paying over the odds) and a must play if your from the area or just visiting.

played 26/10/2012,on a winter deal,round of golf followed by a two course meal,very good value.course was for the time of year was in excellent condition,a few testing greens but on the whole would definately play there again,bar staff and waitresses very polite and helpful, good day had by all

Superb golf club. Very friendly staff. Course was in immaculate condition for the time of year, the greens played fast and true. Great variety of holes, some played from elevated tees with great views across Sheffield. Par 3's are great with clever bunkering. Don't really like courses which finish with a Par 3 but this didn't put me off. Looking at joining a club next year - think this will be the one.
