Good layout for beginners in particular . Course in shocking condition . Bunkers unplayable , greens crazy slow and were like putting on fairways , rough too long and unkempt . A shame really , just needs some money spent on maintenance.

a very poorly kept course, lots of long rough, cut grass on the fairway left across the approach to the green, 90% of the bunkers are GUR and the playable few have no sand in them. food and drink expensive, staff very friendly

The course is so neglected it is a crime. I had played here before but didn't recognise it. Admittedly the wet weather has played a big part, but even the basics were not upheld. Very slow greens in poor condition. The fairway went straight to a jungle rough and the course layout was hard to discern.
It was much better as a municipal with care and love applied to the maintenance. It needs a lot of work. We traveled a good distance, but won't be rushing back. Members deserve better. Buggy broke.

Very Poor condition

Played in a 3 ball, afternoon of 10th May. The course was in poor condition on many fronts, a couple of avoidable examples being - Piles of grass cuttings sitting in front of entry point to greens and bunkers, stopping the balls roll (could live with the grass in front of bunker !! But not the grass preventing ball rolling onto greens). Unevenly and badly cut fairways, the grass on majority of fairways was too long, bunkers in terrible condition with weeds thriving in the majority. I have played the course many times going back years, however will not be returning until the basic course maintenance is significantly improved.

Disappointing

As a group of golfers, we have been playing at Pype Hayes Golf Course for many years but stopped playing at this course 2 to 3 months ago as the bunkers were not being maintained either full of water or with no sand. Yesterday 3 of us returned to play the course again to find that none of the bunkers had been touched, and nearly all had a blue post placed in the centre presumably indicating a free drop. To be fair the fairways and the majority of the greens were in reasonable condition, but MyTime needs to spend some time and money putting the bunkers back into working order.

Terrible greens

Pype Hayes is a really good municiple golf course. Unfortunately at the moment the greens are in terrible condition and this really lets the whole course down. They have increased prices recently, but the standard of the course currently does not reflect the increased costs. Sort the greens out and this course is a real gem.

Although this quite a challenging and interesting course, some aspects of the course are very disappointing. The bunkers are awful with a lack of sand inmost of them. The greens are generally poor and the pathways are overgrown and I'll maintained. I don't know what's happened to the practice greenas it does not exist. In my opinion the Birmingham Municipal Golf courses have deteriorated since Mytime took over.

Good test of golf with a number of blind shots and deep bunkers. Greens weren't great.

Interesting parkland course in suburbia

A lovely looking course hidden in amongst the housing of a suburban area. Interesting enough layout with varying uphill, downhill, sidehill lies. Condition not great at the moment, needed a wedge to get a putt in ????
