Feherty goes 'B for Ballistic'

Bridgestone Golf have launchesd its biggest ever radio campaign this week with celebrity commentator David Feherty encouraging golfers to go ‘B for Ballistic’ for the brand’s latest golf balls.

Feherty, who presents his own Golf Channel TV show and commentates on PGA Tour event coverage for CBS, is the voice behind a light-hearted 30-second advertisement aired over three days of talkSPORTS’ extensive news bulletins from Augusta starting on Friday.

His unique take on the Bridgestone ball range is that it will have you “adding more distance than an Alaskan truck driver”, before asking “what have you bandits got to lose?” The Northern Irishman also features in a series of press ads promoting the full range of Bridgestone balls.

Earlier this year, Bridgestone Golf launched a brand new range of e-Series balls that combine its previous dimple technology with a revolutionary WEB pattern to deliver a more penetrating flight and extra distance. Then last month, a new Extra Soft ball followed, designed to appeal to the majority of golfers who possess a moderate swing speed compared with Tour players. The Extra Soft is intended to help golfers seeking more distance and better feel from a golf ball.

The distinctive radio ads will also be broadcast during the 144th Open Championship at St Andrews, as Bridgestone Golf continues to advise golfers to ‘bridge the gap between you and the pros’ such as staff players Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker, Fred Couples and Sandy Lyle.
