Iain Carter to contribute to Lynx Golf website

By: Golf Shake | Mon 22 Dec 2014

Renowned BBC Sports and golf commentator Iain Carter has linked up with golf manufacturer Lynx to write regular blogs for the up-and-coming brand’s popular website.

Beginning in January,  Iain - the BBC's Golf Correspondent since 2003 - will regularly update www.lynxgolf.co.uk with news, stories and information from the world of golf.

He has led commentary teams for 5 live at major championships and Ryder Cups. Flying hundreds of thousands of miles each year, Iain travels the golfing globe to provide reports, blogs and tweets from all of the game's most important tournaments.

A sports journalist since the mid-1980s, he also commentates on rugby union and tennis and in his spare time he tries to cling on to a single-figure golfing handicap.

Steve Elford, Lynx CEO, said: “Lynx is all about passion, fun and bringing golf alive to the many thousands who play it – and bringing it to the consciousness of those that don’t yet play it.

"Iain has a rare talent for writing about sport - and in particular golf - in a way that engages his readers and listeners.

"Aside from being widely respected for his sound opinions, he is also not afraid to have an opinion, and in the blogs he writes for Lynx he will definitely be making a vibrant addition to our brand image and the content of our website.  "

Iain added: "I'm really looking forward to sharing my views with readers of the Lynx website.

"Golf has an exciting future and I'm in a privileged position to travel the world covering the sport.

"It is a game that is followed passionately by those who play it and 2015 promises to be a thrilling year for golf's leading men and women.

"I aim to be following it and offering insights on what happens every step of the way."

Lynx is dedicated to supporting 'green grass' Pro shop business, with more than 500 house accounts in the UK.
