New Get into Golf Opportunities in Cheshire

By: Golf Shake | Wed 08 Oct 2014

Summer may nearly be over but there are still plenty of opportunities to give golf a go in Cheshire at Hartford Golf Club which is set to run a series of Get into golf sessions for adult beginners during October and November.

The five-week programme costs just £30 and starts on October 8th and runs each Wednesday (6pm-7pm) until November 5th at Hartford Golf Club near Northwich.  As part of the lessons equipment is provided and further details can be obtained from the club’s PGA professional Adam Powell on 01606 871 162.

Eastham Lodge GC, on the Wirral, and Upton by Chester GC both recently started five week courses also aimed at beginners.  Eastham Lodge GC lessons started on Tuesday October 7th, for more information contact 0151 327 3003, and Chester GC started on Monday October 6th contact 01244 381183 for more information.

Craig Thomas, development officer for the Cheshire County Golf Partnership commented: “The best of the weather may be behind us but that is no excuse for not trying a new hobby this autumn and winter.

“Golf is a great sport that can be enjoyed with friends or family and it is never too late or early to give it a go.

“So why not get out of the house this autumn and winter and see what Cheshire’s clubs have to offer with the chance to enjoy expert tuition for very little cost.”

Get into golf is a national campaign to inspire adults to take up the game and is run by the England Golf Partnership through its network of County Golf Partnerships, supported by Sport England and National Lottery funding.

Get into golf opportunities include FREE taster session and low-cost beginner courses with PGA professionals. They are a fun and sociable way to start golf and a great way to make new friends.
