FootJoy Unveils Performance Base Layers

By: Adam Smith | Wed 24 Aug 2011

FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove brand in Golf, has announced the addition of an innovative new range of Thermal Base Layer garments to its Performance Apparel collection. Developed specifically to provide golfers with the highest-level of on-course protection these essential pieces are packed full of technologically-advanced features that excel in inclement weather conditions.

Encompassing a number of new men’s styles, matching leggings and a new women’s specific range, FootJoy’s Performance Thermal Base Layer range incorporates a high-tech ProDry Base Layer Fabrication that conforms to the body to keep warmth in. A non-restricting Golf Fit, designed with the golfer in mind, hugs the body and fits closely to the skin to help regulate body temperature whilst still allowing a full range of motion during the swing. Additional Easy Care Fabric prevents wrinkling and minimizes shrinkage whilst an Anti-Microbial finish eliminates odour. All garments also feature a heat sealed FJ logo.

“These state-of-the-art base layer garments have been designed using extensive feedback from golfers at all levels and fit perfectly into the FootJoy Layering System, which we introduced last year to ensure that every day remains playable,” commented Richard Fryer, European Sales and Marketing Senior Manager, FootJoy. “If you’re going to be spending an extended period of time on the golf course in the winter months you will undoubtedly benefit from the performance features within these garments that regulate body temperature and adapt to changing weather conditions.”

Through constant innovation in construction and material science, FootJoy has set the standard for on-course performance in adverse weather conditions and emerged as the industry leader in all-weather protection.
