Why not enter this three day golf tournament?
Golfers who love the idea of playing in a competitive, but fun, event over several days, playing a trio of fabulous courses, will simply relish the prospect of the 3 Peaks Golf Festival that is launching this summer.
Taking place from 29 June to 1 July 2026, the inaugural festival will be played across Bentham Golf Course, Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club and Skipton Golf Club, inviting golfers to compete in a 4BBB (four-ball better ball) format across dramatically different landscapes, from rolling parkland and river valleys to expansive views of the Yorkshire Dales.
Designed to test skill, consistency and teamwork, the 3 Peaks Golf Festival combines serious competition with a strong sense of community across three of the region’s most scenic and challenging golf courses for a unique three-day competitive experience. Golfers can enter for a single day or take on the full three-day challenge, with daily prizes awarded and an overall festival champion crowned at the final round in Skipton.
Each course brings its own character to the event:
- Day One (29 June 2026): Bentham Golf Course - par 71, parkland layout
- Day Two (30 June 2026): Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club - par 72, valley-style terrain
- Day Three (1 July 2026): Skipton Golf Club - par 71, parkland finale

In addition to competitive play, the festival has been created as a wider golf-and-stay experience. Players can opt for Stay & Play accommodation at Wenningdale Escapes, a luxury glamping and lodge site situated alongside Bentham Golf Course, offering panoramic views across the Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland. Golfshake Ambassador Matt Holbrook enjoyed this experience in March 2025. Accommodation from £166.95 includes entry, en-suite glamping pods or self-catering lodges, and a great post-round atmosphere at the on-site 1922 Bar & Kitchen.
For golfers unable to attend during the main festival dates, organisers are also offering a flexible 3-Course Ticket, allowing players to complete all three courses at their convenience, either midweek or at weekends. Prices start from £100 midweek or £130 at weekends, with group discounts available and accommodation add-ons still offered.
The 3 Peaks Golf Festival aims to establish itself as a standout fixture on the UK golf calendar, combining competitive play, iconic landscapes and a festival-style atmosphere across one of the country’s most picturesque regions.
John Marshall, Operations Director, Wenningdale Leisure, added: "We’ve loved being involved from the very beginning. Supporting our local courses and encouraging people to discover just how special this area is means a great deal to us. We can’t wait to welcome players to the 3 Peaks Golf Festival."
The entry fee will be £85 per person, with £10 per person allocated to spot prizes over the three days. Aggregate prizes will be 1st: custom-fit driver, 2nd: £150, and 3rd: £100, with second and third funded from the spot-prize pool. Spot prizes will be awarded on the day, including 12 dozen Srixon Z-Star balls and a wedge across selected holes. Each club will handle their usual on-the-day allocations, and any remaining spot-prize funds will go towards next year’s event costs.
