Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot putters review
Odyssey putters have long been at the forefront of technological innovation, and they possess the distinction of being the most popular models on tour for a quarter of a century.
Zero Torque is a trend that you may have noticed in recent years, as manufacturers have begun crafting putters that minimise face rotation and stay square throughout your stroke.
The Odyssey version of that appeared last year when the Ai-ONE Square 2 Square range was launched. Whether these designs are suited for you is determined by personal preference, but the brand has returned with an exciting update in the form of its S2S Tri-Hot putters.
Golfshake's Equipment Expert, Ryan Rastall, who favours a more traditional style of putter, wasn't too enamoured with the original line of Square 2 Square, but would his opinion be swayed by the new releases? You can find out his full thoughts in a new review video that you can watch below or directly on YouTube.
But what is different about these new models? Let's take a look.
Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot Putters - What You Need to Know

These new Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot putters come in Rossie, #7 and Jailbird models, with the Jailbird Cruiser coming in a longer shaft and head for those golfers who favour that setup.
- Zero Torque Has Been Moved Forward
Odyssey’s new line uses multi-material construction, which has given engineers the opportunity to move the CG of these putters far enough forward to get the shaft entering the head on the topline, eliminating the need for shaft lean and thus removing one of the biggest barriers to entry for this style of putter.
- Forward CG & Hosel Position
By moving the CG forward, Odyssey was able to position the hosel spud on the topline, much closer to the face than typical Zero Torque putters for a more natural, intuitive and comfortable set up position.
- Multi-Material Construction
By strategically using Aluminium, Steel, and over 140 grams of tungsten, they have been able to design a Zero Torque putter with more than 80% of its weight under the topline and allowing for that forward CG and hosel position.
- Ai-DUAL Insert
Designed using Artificial Intelligence, this dual-layer urethane insert has a soft outer layer and a firm inner layer delivering not only consistent ball speed across the face, but also enhanced forward roll up and down the face and amazing feel.
- New FRD Groove
This new Forward Roll Design Groove is deeper and more aggressive. With a 19° slope it works in conjunction with the dual layer design to improve forward roll up and down the face.
- New Pistol Plus Grip
Odyssey surveyed the most popular grips used on tours around the world and looked for commonalities and opportunities to improve on those designs. The result is a mid-sized pistol grip with crisp edges that allow it to fit comfortably in your hands and give you a better awareness of where the putter face is throughout your stroke.
- Black SL 120 Shaft
Developed on tour, this new black PVD shaft is heavier and stiffer than Odyssey's SL 90 and is ideally suite for this style of putter.
- Cruiser Option
The Jailbird Cruiser comes standard at 38” with: a heavier head, a longer and heavier SL140 shaft and a longer 17” grip for golfers that prefer that setup.
How Much Do Odyssey's S2S Tri-Hot Putters Cost?
Available from the 7th of November 2025, the new putters retail at £499 / €569 / $549.99 for Rossie/#7 and £529 / €599 / $599.99 for Cruiser.
Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot Putters 2025 Review
We mentioned earlier that Ryan instinctively isn't a fan of Zero Torque putters, which he explains in detail, so he was pleasantly surprised when he had the opportunity to test Odyssey's latest at Howley Hall Golf Club in Leeds.
