Callaway JAWS Full Toe Wedges Review

REVIEW: Callaway JAWS Full Toe Wedges

By: Golfshake Editor | Mon 30 Aug 2021

Callaway announced their new JAWS Full Toe wedges early in August 2021 and Golfshake Gear Expert, Ryan Rastall, recently took the opportunity to explore the performance of the new wedges.  Watch the video to find out more details and what Ryan thought during on-course testing.

The new wedges aim to provide control, versatility and increase condfidence through several key technologies and features including;  all-new raw face, full face JAWS grooves - offset groove-in-groove technology, Full Toe shape - providing greater face area and a specialised C-Grind.

The JAWS Full Toe wedges have been designed to give the golfer complete control on all types of wedge shots, pitches, flops, bunker shots, chip shots and full shots into the green.   The additional confidence and control that the golfer will have comes from a Full Toe Shape and a specialised C-Grind.

The wedges combine full face JAWS grooves, raw face and offset groove-in-groove technology to produce the spin and control needed to pull off every shot around the greens and the raw face adds surface roughness for increased spin but it also reduces glare.  Ryan commented:

“The Full Toe range has been designed to move CG around in the head and to make them forgiving. However, they have also incorporated the full face groove and the JAWS technology that are present in their current MD5 wedges too.

“These wedges have great stopping power and if you’re the type of player who struggles to get the ball stopping on the greens, or if your club has smaller putting surfaces to target, these are an excellent option for you to improve your ability in those sort of areas.

“I’ve loved testing them and like I say, these are targeted for the player who maybe isn’t as precise around the greens – or needs that little bit more help and a touch more bounce – these could really tick a lot of boxes for you, so they’re definitely worth trying!”
