European Tour to Reward Everyday Heroes With New #GolfForGood Initiative

By: | Thu 23 Jul 2020

The European Tour has revealed a new initiative to reward the ‘everyday heroes’ of the Covid-19 pandemic with exclusive golfing experiences.

The #GolfForGood initiative, which runs during all six events in the Tour's UK Swing, begins at this week’s British Masters at Close House and asks fans to nominate unsung people who have had a positive impact on their communities during coronavirus.

Prizes will be awarded for an overall winner and several weekly winners.

The most nominated everyday hero will win a socially-distanced round of golf at Close House, near Newcastle-Upon Tyne, with Ryder Cup icon and former world number one golfer Lee Westwood

Meanwhile, each weekly winner will receive a year’s supply of Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls, provided by the European Tour’s Official Partner Callaway.

Nominations for the #GolfForGood initiative are open now. If you wish to nominate a golf fan who has made a difference in your community during coronavirus, visit Et.golf/nominate-a-hero and describe their contribution.
