Secure a complimentary fourball at these golf courses for charity
It's the time of year for those wonderfully extended windows of daylight that can make days seemingly last forever, providing even more hours to craft unforgettable moments on the golf course.
Whether you're an early morning riser or relish the chance for a twilight round in the dying embers of dusk - why not both? - these are undoubtedly the best weeks of the season.
Naturally, given that in northern parts of the country, you could easily play for 18 hours, this is the period when golfers typically take on marathon challenges for charity, encompassing an endurance testing number of holes in a single day.
The Big Golf Race is the most significant of these ventures, raising invaluable funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK, the most commonly diagnosed form of the disease among men.
Since it was first launched in 2020, millions have been accumulated and lifetime memories have been created by those players who have taken on the challenge for (quite often) deeply personal reasons.

But if you have signed up to participate and have been tirelessly fundraising, the question is where should you undertake your own Big Golf Race?
For some golfers, their home clubs are graciously accommodating, but if that isn't a prospect, thankfully there are locations throughout the land who have signed up to be partners for the event this year.
You can see those through this Course Finder - but we wanted to bring to your attention a select few who have an even more notable distinction in 2026.
Thanks to a partnership with the PGA, a selection of complimentary fourballs have been set aside for those taking part in The Big Golf Race.
You and three others can take advantage of this - assuming you are officially raising money through The Big Golf Race. All you need to do is provide a link to your fundraising page in order to complete your booking. You could do that right now by clicking here.
Some of the courses have already been taken, but there is an exciting bunch that are still available, and we'd love to take a closer glance at them now.

Review Comment: "Glorious surroundings. Very warm welcome from pro shop, couldn't be friendlier. Practice facilities first class and impressed that all practice balls are clean and personalised to the club. Course a demanding links course with gorse that will gobble up wayward shots. Plenty of opportunities to take on the course or play safe. And the impressive rainbow appeared."
