What the club says: Newburgh-on Ythan Golf Club was founded in 1888 on Udny Links, on the same stretch of Aberdeenshire coastline as Royal Aberdeen, Murcar, Trump International and Cruden Bay. We have stunning views from the clubhouse and throughout the course over the estuary, the nature reserve and out to sea. The 6423 yard, par 72, CSS 72 links course has great variety with every hole offering a different challenge, including the quirky wall on the 4th, and the long par 5 with a difficult to reach green to finish. It pays to keep it straight down the gorse-lined undulating fairways. We're noted for the quality of our greens and year round playablity due to the well-drained links. Watch out for seals near the 16th tee, and birdies both on and off the course. We offer great value to both members and visitors alike.

Have played this course many times, however the condition of the course at the moment is as good as i've ever seen it. The green are fantastic and they have shaped the fairways to give them more definition. I would recommend course this to anyone and the price is very good value!

Course of 2 Half's
The 1st 9 head up the hill and are well laid out with wide fairways.The second nine are on the the low lying ground next to the world famous Ythan Wildlife estuary. This also has wide fairways and tricky greens. The clubhouse is warm and inviting.
Food is well prepared and delicious.

Majestic course
From start to finish the whole experience was of the highest quality. I have played this course previously and wasn't impressed. Now I would rate everything 5 star from the friendly welcome at pro shop to clubhouse staff. The course was to die for and the greens the best I have played on. Definitely on par with my home course Alford and would definitely visit again.Reviewer Rating

Links Country Classic
Squeezed along a notorious Links coastline Newburgh holds its own. As much for bird lovers as birdie lovers a unique piece of real estate as river meets sea with almost cliff top type golf next to the plains along the estuary. A test in the wind but a thoroughly beautiful experience(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 91 Handicap: 21.7)

Windy day, but course in great condition. Whites a much better challenge I would say than yellows, so glad we played off them. But all in all a great day out

A course which can be overshadowed by its neighbours but is great to play and good value for money. Front nine and back nine feel different which adds to the challenge

Played recently liked the course good fun , not up to the standard of Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay , Murcar or of course Trump International which is superb. Couldn\'t wait to get out of the PRO shop though - poor service, lack of knowledge - but don\'t let that put you of playing the course.
