Walkways better than most fairways at other courses.
A true tough test and the best course I have played in the uk

Absolute beast
Some cracking holes, but the course is let down by the greens - most are slightly raised which just doesn't feel like a genuine links. Compared to other modern links courses, like Castle Stuart of Kingsbarns, this just doesn't feel quite as natural/well integrated to the dunes.

Bucket list destination
This course will beat you up. Missing the fairway is most likely a lost ball, most greens upturned saucers with tiny lending areas, bunkers everywhere and the wind blows......But I want to do it all again! The most beautiful and naturally stunning golf course I've ever played. Best word to describe it is simply "wow"

Fantasic
Great course with fantastic scenery. Facilities awesome and very friendly. Stunning layout(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 80 Handicap: )

Golf turned up to 11
May very well subvert your expectations. Beautifully understated drive in and clubhouse (almost certainly due to planning regulations rather than an outbreak of good taste), all practice facilities at hand. Well trained and polite staff. The setting is staggering, never seen dunes like it. Easily twice the size of a birkdale or Troon. Every hole by itself on a vast acreage, just has an epic feel, can see the sea well enough from most holes. Follows the modern style of design of being a bit too generous off the tee and surely too demanding on, or more likely off the greens. Pretty much all are upturned saucers, making your target small. Greens were only 8 on my stimp probably should be a foot quicker. Fairways and especially bunkers justify the hype, great nic.
Only two gripes, imo needs a set of tees between the 6600 and 7000 ones. Nobody is getting within 10 of their handicap from the back two sets of tees unless they can't count. Also, it's set up mostly for corporate and large touring groups, it's not the place for a three hour two ball.
Greatest course in the world? Impossible to say, but it's in the conversation, which is impressive enough. Has replaced royal St. George's as my British favourite, and by a margin. May need to hold the Open a few times before it gets the recognition though.

Absolutely amazing Golf Course! Stunning scenery and a beautiful course, fairways and greens were in perfect condition. The marshals and Pros on-site were fantastically helpful and made us feel welcome. You may not like the Trump but he certainly knows how to build a fantastic golf course, I highly recommend this to everyone.
(Round played: Apr 2017 - Score: 70 Handicap: 0.1)

Definitely the hardest course I have played but one of the best. Every hole is its own challenge and has its own character. Rarely have I shot such I high score and enjoyed it so much. Playing in 30MPH winds is very tough indeed, wind was right at us for the first 4 and many of the holes on the back nine, it means any element of cut on the ball is gone.
(Round played: Apr 2017 - Score: 104 Handicap: 12.2)

A must play for any golfer out there.

(Round played: Jun 2016 - Score: 84 Handicap: 11.6)
Absolutely incredible course and facilities

Stunning course. Manicured to an inch of its life, no stone left unturned in terms of design and detail. Wish I could play it everyday in order to master it!
(Round played: Jun 2016 - Score: 104 Handicap: 12.1)

The greens are excellent, the bunkers what you expect on a links course, through the green is well manicured. A true delight to play and quite a challenge of the game, if you can't hit 200 yards you may struggle as there are a few 150 yard carries that into the wind you may not make.
(Round played: Apr 2016 - Score: 100 Handicap: 13.1)

Stunning views- great layout - fantastic greens and fairways (probably rolling about 10.5 when we played)
Unbelievably well manicured but still managed to keep it's links feel !
very warm welcome by everyone at the club(caddies were fantastic-highly recommended!)
Played 29/6/15 Handicap 4.2 Score from gold tees-78.

great course, weather conditions important, new club house soon to open. greens large and fast - rating 12 when we played.
(Round played: May 2015 - Score: 101 Handicap: 16.2)
