What the club says: Lakes (De Vere Belton Woods)
The superb 6,831 yard championship Lakes Course has been beautifully sculptured and shaped with plenty of water making for many a testing approach shot. With so many prominent water features, the golfer has to think on every shot played. The course also boasts the par-5 9th, one of the longest holes in the country at 609 yards.

Woodside (De Vere Belton Woods)
The second course at De Vere Belton Woods is the Woodside which is another challenging championship track measuring 6,623 yards. It is probably more forgiving to the higher handicapper and features gently undulating fairways and natural hazards.

Red Arrows (De Vere Belton Woods)
The third course at Belton Woods is a tricky little par 3, nine hole course called Red Arrows. It's perfect for anyone starting out in the game or if you're just looking to hone your short game between rounds.

What Golfshake says: Lakes - As the name suggests water is a prominent feature on this 18. The longer of the two courses but lucky to have a sister course just as good. Perfect for a weekend break.Woodside - A bit more forgiving than the lakes but still a good test. More open but with trouble elsewhere. Tricky to pick which one we like better...in fact impossible.

Great Golf Course

Spent 1 night and played both courses. The Woods Course is the better of the 2. Great facilities and food and would rate it 10/10.

Great Course, a few poor tees but didn't spoil the experience. A bargain at £25.00 for a championship quality course.

Fantastic

A course you have to have your game spot on, lots of hazards like water pick your spot and commit to the shot. Greens in excellent condition nice and true.

Home course but tough!!

Used as a course for previous european seniors tour events, you would expect this to be a tough course & it does not disappoint. Some nice long par 4's to get your teeth into & plenty of water to overcome makes this a challenge for a good standard of golfer

Weekend Get Away

The fairways were firm underfoot and the greens had been recently treated but ran faster than looked.

Good little course

The Woodside course is not the longest nor most challenging course you will ever play, but it is well set out and attractive to the eye. Given that it is in Lincolnshire, we were expecting it to be flat but there are some gentle hills involved that make it more attractive and offer a touch more challenge physically. The greens were really good, despite recent hollow tining having been carried out- they certainly ran true and there were some subtle borrows to account for. The starter, Roger, was very helpful, offering useful tips and guidance before we set off. We played the course twice on successive days- on the first occasion play was ridiculously slow and we had only managed 13 holes after 4 hours (which just goes to show that we should have listened to the advice from the pro shop and played 9 holes of the alternative Lakes course and 9 of the Woodside!). On the second occasion we had finished and were in the 19th on our second drinks by the same 4 hour mark.

Superb course and facilities

Amazing course for the money. Challenging, varied holes with a large range of difficulty. Excellent condition with currently around 4 temp greens and all on winter mats. It?s a must play course and would challenge any standard player first time round

Good course, avoid the clubhouse.

Would play there again but will avoid the clubhouse as the food was grossly overpriced and of a very poor standard. We had to return one dish and it took them over 1/2 hour to produce a simple sandwich with a mug of (very salty) soup. On the plus side they do have some gluten free options unlike most golf courses. Course in good condition, greens a bit variable, pace of play was good but we were out early. When we came in there was a long queue on the first tee. Their main focus appears to be society golf.

Arrived keen and early from London on the Saturday morning for a 12.30 tee only for tee times to be pushed back 1.5 hours with no explanation. (No signs on arrival to indicate where the actual golf course is and you end up having to trek around the whole large complex hoping to see a few clues). Excitement was replaced with a hanging around an airport lounge feeling. Played the Lakes course first. Greens were good but that's the limit of my praise. Tee boxes were appalling and it was hard to make out fairways from the rough on several holes especially on the front 9. Main gripe was that the pace of play was tediously slow, 5 hours + and with delayed start last few groups finished in dismal light and with no time for a livener before the set meal. The bar was under-staffed which meant slow service and a very grubby/messy feel. Set meals were boring, of poor quality and quantity which even a thrown in bottle of wine couldn't improve. Sunday we played the Woodside course. On the positive side, going out early meant the pace of play was good. Besides that its just quite dull and pretty straightforward. Nothing noteworthy. Lunch afterwards which was not good. £16 for an average burger and about 5 chips. Some of the marketing material out refer to BW as a golfers paradise and championship quality. In reality and maybe due to the hype, it is just disappointing.

Very good Golf Complex

At the complex for the weekend playing 3 rounds. This was our first of the weekend. Hotel facilities very good and golf course very good except the tee boxes need a lot of TLC over the winter.
