What the club says: Lakes (De Vere Belton Woods)
The superb 6,831 yard championship Lakes Course has been beautifully sculptured and shaped with plenty of water making for many a testing approach shot. With so many prominent water features, the golfer has to think on every shot played. The course also boasts the par-5 9th, one of the longest holes in the country at 609 yards.
Woodside (De Vere Belton Woods)
The second course at De Vere Belton Woods is the Woodside which is another challenging championship track measuring 6,623 yards. It is probably more forgiving to the higher handicapper and features gently undulating fairways and natural hazards.
Red Arrows (De Vere Belton Woods)
The third course at Belton Woods is a tricky little par 3, nine hole course called Red Arrows. It's perfect for anyone starting out in the game or if you're just looking to hone your short game between rounds.

Tricky venue with rubbish bunkers
The course was very nice and the layout was good. The clubhouse was very comfortable if not a little expensive. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. The downsides were fast tricky greens with what appeared to be crowned holes were a slow putt fell away at the last minute, very frustrating. The play was also very slow as if there were too many players allowed on the course at once, which rings alarm bells of sheer greed. The worse part was the bunkers, they were unplayable as bunkers as there didn't appear to be much if any sand in them. You couldn't play a proper bunker shot as you just bounced off the gravel and dust in them, very disappointing. On the whole for what you pay for the visit it simply wasn't good enough. Couldn't honestly recommend it and probably won't return.Reviewer Rating

Belton Woods Woodside
Not just the course, but the whole location, is stunning. My only reason for giving a 9 for the woodside course is, that the first few holes on the back nine were not in the same condition as the other holes. Otherwise great facilities and lots of things to do when you finish your round.Reviewer Rating

Golf Trip
Hotel facilities in good nick, staff friendly and helpful including the starters on the course. The course is typical of a 'well used track' greens were poor on the Woods course. Played the Lakes course the following day and the course was better and greens slightly better. Rough could be cut back to speed up play given standard of some golfers.Reviewer Rating

Bit disappointed
The only thing that let the course down was, they spiked and treated the greens. So you couldn't really put on them.Reviewer Rating

Cainhoe Wood (Manor)
Played as a 3-ball on Saturday 29.07, course was in very good condition, considering the swings in weather the week preceding. Greens especially were in excellent condition. This course gives a multitude of challenges to different skill levels and rarely plays the same way twice - Saturday's round was played in high winds.
Clubhouse and facilities are very good - car park could do with some TLC, too many deep pot-holes.
Always a great welcome from all staff - shop/clubhouse/starter. I'd recommend trying Cainhoe Wood out.

A very tough course
A very tough course made even harder by rainy weather. The layout is very challenging to say the least. Accurate and straight hitting is a must here. The tees, fairways and greens were in good condition but I have to say the greens were very slow to play. As for the hospitality - friendly, great food and drink but far too expensive as is the shop and its contents, a bottled drink and a chocolate bar never needs to be £4.50 !! It is not called the lakes for no reason as the multitude of them claimed 5 of my balls !! Nice to play once in a while but not regularly for me anyway. Shame about the whole experience.Reviewer Rating

Great weekend
We visited Belton Woods, over the Easter weekend (7th - 9th April), for Golf and Spa. Hotel and facilities were excellent, from the welcome at reception to the welcome in the Pro Shop. Both courses were open, although buggies were prohibited for the first two days, Played the Lakes first and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, although it didn't seem to be as difficult as the website makes out. The course was generally in good condition, a couple of 'boggy' patches, but otherwise, well drained; the greens were in great condition, very fast and some were a real challenge.
Played the Woods twice, rally enjoyed this course. Again, a couple of 'boggy' patches, but considering the weather we have had, over the last few weeks, we were impressed with the condition. Good layout and use of the land available made the golfing very enjoyable; the two gents in the Pro Shop were a credit to the facility.
Spa facilities were good, although the jacuzzi was far to hot. It was good that children's use of the pool was restricted to certain times, as it all got a little crazy once they arrived.
Food choice was excellent on the two nights we stayed, and service was very good.
We would definitely recommend having a look at Belton Woods for golf and the hotel.

Superb greens, ideal golf break venue
Only played Lakes course today which is very good. greens are perfect and some really excellent holes. Not overly long, perfect at 6354 yards. well designed with small green to tee distances so 4 hour rounds should be easily achievable. Definitely going back to try the woods course. Friendly Pros in the shop. Would defo go back to play stay both courses. Just 2 hour drive from Redditch, West MidlandsReviewer Rating
