What the club says: Lakes (De Vere Belton Woods)
The superb 6,831 yard championship Lakes Course has been beautifully sculptured and shaped with plenty of water making for many a testing approach shot. With so many prominent water features, the golfer has to think on every shot played. The course also boasts the par-5 9th, one of the longest holes in the country at 609 yards.
Woodside (De Vere Belton Woods)
The second course at De Vere Belton Woods is the Woodside which is another challenging championship track measuring 6,623 yards. It is probably more forgiving to the higher handicapper and features gently undulating fairways and natural hazards.
Red Arrows (De Vere Belton Woods)
The third course at Belton Woods is a tricky little par 3, nine hole course called Red Arrows. It's perfect for anyone starting out in the game or if you're just looking to hone your short game between rounds.
What Golfshake says: Lakes - As the name suggests water is a prominent feature on this 18. The longer of the two courses but lucky to have a sister course just as good. Perfect for a weekend break.Woodside - A bit more forgiving than the lakes but still a good test. More open but with trouble elsewhere. Tricky to pick which one we like better...in fact impossible.

Golf Trip
Hotel facilities in good nick, staff friendly and helpful including the starters on the course. The course is typical of a 'well used track' greens were poor on the Woods course. Played the Lakes course the following day and the course was better and greens slightly better. Rough could be cut back to speed up play given standard of some golfers.Reviewer Rating

Bit disappointed
The only thing that let the course down was, they spiked and treated the greens. So you couldn't really put on them.Reviewer Rating

Cainhoe Wood (Manor)
Played as a 3-ball on Saturday 29.07, course was in very good condition, considering the swings in weather the week preceding. Greens especially were in excellent condition. This course gives a multitude of challenges to different skill levels and rarely plays the same way twice - Saturday's round was played in high winds.
Clubhouse and facilities are very good - car park could do with some TLC, too many deep pot-holes.
Always a great welcome from all staff - shop/clubhouse/starter. I'd recommend trying Cainhoe Wood out.

A very tough course
A very tough course made even harder by rainy weather. The layout is very challenging to say the least. Accurate and straight hitting is a must here. The tees, fairways and greens were in good condition but I have to say the greens were very slow to play. As for the hospitality - friendly, great food and drink but far too expensive as is the shop and its contents, a bottled drink and a chocolate bar never needs to be £4.50 !! It is not called the lakes for no reason as the multitude of them claimed 5 of my balls !! Nice to play once in a while but not regularly for me anyway. Shame about the whole experience.Reviewer Rating

Great weekend
We visited Belton Woods, over the Easter weekend (7th - 9th April), for Golf and Spa. Hotel and facilities were excellent, from the welcome at reception to the welcome in the Pro Shop. Both courses were open, although buggies were prohibited for the first two days, Played the Lakes first and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, although it didn't seem to be as difficult as the website makes out. The course was generally in good condition, a couple of 'boggy' patches, but otherwise, well drained; the greens were in great condition, very fast and some were a real challenge.
Played the Woods twice, rally enjoyed this course. Again, a couple of 'boggy' patches, but considering the weather we have had, over the last few weeks, we were impressed with the condition. Good layout and use of the land available made the golfing very enjoyable; the two gents in the Pro Shop were a credit to the facility.
Spa facilities were good, although the jacuzzi was far to hot. It was good that children's use of the pool was restricted to certain times, as it all got a little crazy once they arrived.
Food choice was excellent on the two nights we stayed, and service was very good.
We would definitely recommend having a look at Belton Woods for golf and the hotel.
