What the club says: Lakes (De Vere Belton Woods)
The superb 6,831 yard championship Lakes Course has been beautifully sculptured and shaped with plenty of water making for many a testing approach shot. With so many prominent water features, the golfer has to think on every shot played. The course also boasts the par-5 9th, one of the longest holes in the country at 609 yards.
Woodside (De Vere Belton Woods)
The second course at De Vere Belton Woods is the Woodside which is another challenging championship track measuring 6,623 yards. It is probably more forgiving to the higher handicapper and features gently undulating fairways and natural hazards.
Red Arrows (De Vere Belton Woods)
The third course at Belton Woods is a tricky little par 3, nine hole course called Red Arrows. It's perfect for anyone starting out in the game or if you're just looking to hone your short game between rounds.
What Golfshake says: Lakes - As the name suggests water is a prominent feature on this 18. The longer of the two courses but lucky to have a sister course just as good. Perfect for a weekend break.Woodside - A bit more forgiving than the lakes but still a good test. More open but with trouble elsewhere. Tricky to pick which one we like better...in fact impossible.

Dissapointing
Following decent reviews and a number of conversations with the hotel, we felt our golf weekend could still be enjoyable despite COVID. Lakes and Woods courses both good with lots of challenges and the two starters were excellent and gave good advice on what to avoid. Greens were excellent but tee's were awful on both courses, felt like no one had looked after them for six months. Hotel however, was dreadful with miserable staff, shabby facilities and no grasp on the COVID situation at times.

Great course
Two good courses - Lakes was challenging. Both in good condition except for the rough that had been cut and left by the fairway which hid any ball that went into it. Decent room, comfortable bed and hotel doing well despite covid restrictions

Two good tracks
Preferred the Lakes course to the Woods. Plenty of interesting holes on both, but the Lakes wins it for me. The water hazards are there, but not necessarily too intrusive. The greens on both courses were superb and we were virtually playing millionaires golf on both rounds. Minor niggles - The tee boxes on both courses need seeing to. Some were like playing out of the rough. The bunkers were dreadful, Covid shouldn't be an excuse for not caring for these. They clearly hadn't been touched for months. Covid has also meant restricted menus which puts a bit of a damper on the post round.

Decent track
Played here with a work colleague was excellently placed equidistant between Yorkshire and London. Course was in OK knick. tee boxes were disappointing and the greens were okay although just Bern spiked. However for the price we paid ?30 for two (we had a voucher) no complaints at all!

Great weekend
2 rounds of golf with overnight stay. Great courses and hospitality. Couldn?t fault it.

Nice course definitely worth playing

Disappointing
Does not live up to pre Covid levels of service and course conditions

Stay Out of the Rough
Course in good condition. Greens running slowish but smooth. Rough very long so must try and keep on the fairways.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 93 Handicap: 13.8)

Great

Belton woods Woodside course
Very good course and excellent value for your money . A fairly long course but open for big hitters .(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 24.7)

Fantastic Course
Played this course for the first time on Saturday. A beautiful course, challenging greens and will definitely be back.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 103 Handicap: 22.2)

Deer on the fairway
Booked a 2 round package (2 rounds, dinner bed and breakfast, all very friendly and professional, first round was rained off but pro shop gave us a voucher for a furture round as we had only completed 6 holes. Gave us chance to use the hotel spa facilities, had a couple of drinks in the bar and then a very tasty meal in the restaurant, next day we had a very filling breakfast before teeing off, course and greens were in very good condition and a stiff challenge for a player of my standard. All in all a very enjoyable weekend(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score:D 112 Handicap: 30.8)

Average
Generally a great place but the greens on both the courses were really bad. The hotel facilities are great.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 88 Handicap: 19)

Golf weekend venue
This is the perfect golf weekend hotel for a 2ball up to larger groups
