What the club says: Bawtry Golf Club is an 18 hole parkland course. It measures nearly 7,000 yards off the white tees, which is ideally challenging for accomplished golfers. Off the yellow tees the course is more appropriate for the higher handicap golfer. It is perfectly situated and the design of the course has utilised the surrounding landscape to full effect. During your round, you will encounter some testing hazards and some very tricky fairways. Dedicated greenstaff keep the course in immaculate condition throughout the year.

Course in good condition for time of year, but wish the grounds staff were a little more considerate.

I used to be a member here but now only visit occasionally.
The new owners are clearly in it for short term profit. A big part of a successful club is value for money and being respected as a customer. Try ringing the pro-shop, generally no answer. Try ringing the main office, generally no answer. Driving range ball dispenser not been updated since the new £1 coins came in so generally unusable. Concessions for BIGGA members? No. Try turning up at 5.30 in the height of summer - all locked up. And the cost of a round? Way too high for the overall experience.
Having said all of that, the guy in the pro-shop is very polite and amenable, the fairways are good and the greens very good.
Watch what happens when the new course opens nearby.
Visited last week.
Pleasant in Pro Shop, and though myself and a friend had only travelled 25 miles into the hinterlands, the accent had moved 250 ????
Price fair. No criticism of anything really. It is generally flat, it requires you to get it out there off the tee, and it is very fair. Uniform greens, fairways and semi rough, the sort where you can get a lob wedge under and not be afraid of a decapitation on the far side of the green. Abundant in wildlife too, pheasants galore and a weasel chasing young rabbits. Such is life !
No bar facilities open alas.
As a member of this course I do think they have made massive improvements to the course in the last two years and they have massive plans going forward. Over the long winter months this course has been difficult to get on and play, but that means the course is now in lovely condition. Some good holes and some great holes, pity there is not more water on the course but overall well worth a visit.

Played here on Monday 4th of December. The course is long but open giving the big hitters a chance with any wayward driving. Ground underfoot was firm for this time of year & the greens well kept. There’s a driving range to warm up before your round. I got signed in by a member for £15
Handicap 20. Score 92.

Very nice and a little forgiving course great on the legs, nice views.course and greens in great condition, definitely worth a visit.
Good Course, tough if you miss the fairway from the tee
Booked on Teeofftimes. However there was no warning that winter greens were in play - even at the end of August.
Guy in pro shop could not operate the till, took fifteen minutes to buy a bottle of water. was told " don't worry a FIVE ball has just tee'd off . so no rush."
We hadn't played it for a couple of years but informed under new management and gave it a go.Course much improved and bar kindly kept open until we finished.Price now good value for money and will definitely be back.Advised bar and catering arrangements being sorted out.

(Round played: Apr 2017 - Score: 96 Handicap: 19.6) An ever improving course. Lots of good grounds work really taking shape now. Pro shop stock still quite limited.
(Round played: Apr 2017 - Score: 81 Handicap: 8.5) breezy. Greens fast course in great condition
