What the club says: Doncaster Golf Club is an attractive course set on the southern outskirts of Doncaster. Founded in 1894 the club moved to its present site on land referred to as "The Warren".
The course measures 6244 yards, par 69 for men and 5585 yards, par 72 for ladies. Don’t be fooled by the yardage. This is a fair and enjoyable test for any level of golfer

Mr
Played in the winter open 29.10.2024 the course was in great condition and the greens were running true, better than many courses in the height of summer. All staff were super friendly and welcoming, we will be back for next year for the fourth time.Reviewer Rating

Men’s October Open
In exceptional late October weather we found the greeting by the Pro Team very welcoming as were the catering staff. The course was well presented and greens were in excellent condition. The sunny weather enhancing the autumnal colours. Thanks to all, not forgetting Mr Starter for a very enjoyable experience.Reviewer Rating

Great course condition
Works golf match, walked the course with carry bag. Fairways and tees in tidy condition, greens excellent. Lovely course, with very nice ‘thinking’ holes. Not cheapest but worth it. Hospitality in clubhouse very welcoming.Reviewer Rating

Great course
Our society played at Doncaster on Friday. The course was in excellent condition and not a temporary green in sight. The course played very well. The food & service in the clubhouse was fantastic. Very friendly staff throughout the venue. I think we’re going to book again as soon as possible. I’d definitely recommend.Reviewer Rating

Top day
We had a great day out on a recent society visit, pro was very welcoming & helpful in assisting us with our day, he even put out our nearest the pins, a nice touch even though he was prompted to do so and you can be sure to find what you want and a deal in the pro shop! The overall condition of the course was brilliant despite all the rain in recent months, it is by far the best I have played in Yorkshire to date due to the condition of the course which I later found out is built on sand so it drains well! A top day out we will be back.Reviewer Rating

Cracking course
Doncaster golf club is a very welcoming course with a stunning clubhouse overlooking the 1st tee and 17th green . The course is well looked after with excellent greens and has had a brilliant 2/3 years of upgrades including the bunkers . I love visiting the course and it’s great to have a cold beer on the veranda over looking the course .Reviewer Rating

Dry in November
Friendly staff, friendly pro, good food after the round. The course was in good condition bearing in mind we played it in November and my home course is a bit of a soggy mess! The fairways are tree lined and generous and the rough isn’t too punishing but there are plenty of bunkers to keep you alert. It’s not the toughest course but a good test for medium/high handicappers. Some interesting holes but quite a few are a little bit ‘samey’. We enjoyed our day out and would play there again.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic Condition, a good challenge
My golf mate and I played this course in beautiful late afternoon weather and enjoyed every minute. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in superb condition and although I feel a bit weird for saying this, even the rough seems to have been thought out as its punishing but you can generally always find your ball. Pace of play was good and we had a nice welcome from the Pro in the shop and the members around the course. We paid ?30 which is cheaper than the local rival (Wheatley) so all in all a good bargain and some lovely golf. Only one slight criticism is that there aren't many greens which aren't roughly flat, some McKenzie's or something of that ilk would make it a fantastic challenge.Reviewer Rating

Raining, but in lovely condition
A quiet Friday afternoon with monsoon like weather from hole 12 onwards, but the course was in lovely condition. Always like the layout of this course and tend to play it well. Pro shop lady was very pleasant and although she thought we were mad to play in the weather she was a pleasure to deal with. Yes, this course is ?30 in the week, but its worth it against some of the other local options which are nowhere near as nice or kept as well. We will be back as always.Reviewer Rating
