Hi Dean,
Course review on doncaster
Great in summer, boggy in winter,used 2 for 1 vouchers at a cost of £15 per round.
Without vouchers £30.00.
Feel would only play with voucher reduction option.

We played this as a society a few days ago. The welcome in the ClubHouse pre game was very good and the breakfast was very reasonably priced. The course was in very good condition and the greens were excellent. However, our group found the course rather dull to play and there were few memorable holes. The 16th is a tempting par 4 for longer hitters and that would have to be my favourite pick.
The ClubHouse post round was very quiet (5.30 on a Sunday) compared to other courses we have played. No food was available post round, not even chip cobs.
All in all, a nice course but far better value to be had in the region.

Poor attitude of staff to none members. Course in really good condition. But still over priced.

Our Lady Past Captains visited Doncaster GC on 17.08.23. We all had a wonderful day, the Pro Dan Hood and the Catering Manager Gavin and staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. It is a beautiful course and in fantastic condition and the food was delicious.
I have sent a note to Gavin who put on a splendid meal following play.

Dry in November
Friendly staff, friendly pro, good food after the round. The course was in good condition bearing in mind we played it in November and my home course is a bit of a soggy mess! The fairways are tree lined and generous and the rough isn’t too punishing but there are plenty of bunkers to keep you alert. It’s not the toughest course but a good test for medium/high handicappers. Some interesting holes but quite a few are a little bit ‘samey’. We enjoyed our day out and would play there again.Reviewer Rating

Raining, but in lovely condition
A quiet Friday afternoon with monsoon like weather from hole 12 onwards, but the course was in lovely condition. Always like the layout of this course and tend to play it well. Pro shop lady was very pleasant and although she thought we were mad to play in the weather she was a pleasure to deal with. Yes, this course is ?30 in the week, but its worth it against some of the other local options which are nowhere near as nice or kept as well. We will be back as always.Reviewer Rating
