SuperStroke Releases Cross Comfort Grip

By: Golfshake Editor | Mon 27 Aug 2018

SuperStroke has been somewhat of a household name when it comes to golf club grips for a few years now. The brand is particularly prevalent in the putter grip market and supplies grips to some of the world’s best golfers, including Jordan Spieth who has often been viewed as one of the top putters on tour. However, with heaps of expert knowledge and tried and tested products SuperStroke have recently released the Cross Comfort range which sees the focus put largely on irons.

As the name suggests, this particular model is based around the idea of the grip being comfortable to hold whilst also providing high-quality performance. According to SuperStroke, the outer layer of the grip is made from Polyurethane which is where the grips are able to get their soft, comfortable feel from. As with any quality new grips there is a distinct sticky feeling which is always a good sign. This combined with the soft feel outer layer makes for a lasting feel of comfort when playing with these grips.

Although the main focus is on the feel of the grip, SuperStroke clearly still understand that to be a success the Cross Comfort grips must perform well as a whole rather than just feeling nice. So, they say that the inner layer is created from firm rubber and according to their official website, this provides good “torsional performance.” In addition to this, the exterior of the grips feature SuperStroke’s Comfort X pattern which is designed to give golfers that little bit extra when it comes to traction.

Overall, the Cross Comfort grips have some serious potential and with the extra care given to making these some of the most pleasant feeling grips on the market SuperStroke may just have hit the nail on the head in terms of creating a brilliant grip for the modern game.
