Bunkers everywhere

Worth playing once, but is expensive when compared to other courses in this price range.

Course is in reasonable condition, but the bunkers, which are very abundant around the course are more like waste areas with little sand and lots of stones.

If you are single or 2 ball, you are likely to get paired up to make a 4-ball.

Took 4:40 hrs, but slowed down by those we were paired with who seemed to lose a ball on every hole.

Not always easy to see where the green was on tee shots, but fairways were easy enough to identify.

Greens were good and reasonable speed and with a mix of undulations and some subtle borrows. But the number of bunkers and their size can detract from the experience.

Played in strong winds and made the course challenging.

You will need to reserve a buggy, but course is walkable, and they have plenty of trolleys.

Glad I played and would recommend, but wouldn't rush back as there are better value courses.

Very good facilities, but fairly straightforward course with little to remember for. No signature holes as such.

Challening, esp for the higher handicapper

Overlooking Paphos airport in the distance, great views. This is a tough unforgiving course which if you do not get off the tee, chances are you will not find your ball. you need to play it twice or go round with someone who has played before as some of the holes are deceiving. It was blowing a gale when we played but generally ok. Worth a visit.

Great course, Great staff

The course is of a high standard with a few exceptions on the greens.
It is picturesque and typically for a Faldo designed course it has numerous bunkers.
The last three holes are particularly testing at the end of the round.
The staff are exceptional- always willing to assist.

Difficult and hilly course with plenty of bunkers and nice view over the ocean. Ideal season would be in Oct/Nov.

what can I say....this course is fantastic. Elea is a Faldo designed course (don't let that put you off!)
We played after 3pm, which is classed as a 'twilight' rate - paid €55 per person inc. buggy (with water and ice in cool box), although the course is not long, so is walkable (heat dependant)
Plenty variation on this course from very short par 3's to long par 5's. The greens were amazing condition (as was all the course) - even the tee boxes were immaculate. The course is quite wide in places, with very few trees, but it does have a LOT of bunkers....this course needs a bit a thought and plotting to get round. Best to play off whites rather then yellow.

Some of the holes are the best I have ever played and I would definitely recommend this course to anyone visiting Cyprus. This is the best course on the Island (at the moment - new course at Secret Valley opens September 2013)

Clubhouse is amazing - downside is that it closed at 8pm on the day we visited.

The course is in stunning condition, facilities are fantastic, staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Extensive practice areas including putting green, short and long game area and also a practice bunker area.
One of the few courses in the area using yards instead of meters.
Locker rooms with showers for freshening up
Some stunning sea views on one side and mountain views on the other side
Overall a must visit course for any golf enthusiast

The Elea is a strategic course with a thousand (seems like) bunkers. A strong, tough finish but a few weak par 3's bring down the overall quality of the course for me. The greens were also covered in sand and not what you'd expect from a top course. Overall very good but not amazing

Over priced green fee, but an excellent course. Its what you get if Sir Nick designs it I suppose. Extremely quick greens. Superb Club house, service, changing rooms, restaurant, bars, staff all faultless.

Very good course. 16th,17th & 18th a very, very tough finish. Although overall, it felt a bit on the short side, but greens and bunkers made up for that! Excellent facilities. And great food served.
