Having previously read a few reviews of Torrance Park I was apprehensive about playing there but I was pleasantly surprised by the course and the quality of the greens in particular. Will definitely play again.

Played this course a few days ago and its in pretty good condition the greens are by far the best ive played this year but the downsides are no clubhouse and simple things like when walking off the 18 th green u walk by heras fencing and a bit of rubble which would only take 10 minutes to fix and give it a nice touch when leaving instead of walking off thinking the place looks dirty come on management give it a simple walk round and clear some stuff up also beer cans in most bins surely the get tidyed up daily instead of looking like a jakeys course.we would defo give it another try in a few weeks try as membership is really cheap for a course which has so much potential simple things go a long way .....

I recently played Torrance Park and despite the terrible weather we have had I have to admit to being very surprised by the quality of the course.

Being a high handicapper (18) I look for courses that are a good test without being cruel, and Torrance Park is that. The fairways are wide enough to provide some trouble should you stray into the rough, the bunkers are well placed and protect the pins well. The greens were in excellent order despite the bad weather and pin positions were tricky.

Surprised to learn the course is so young, it certainly didnt give you that feeling when you were out there, felt well established and settled.

No clubhouse facility as yet, but a local brewers fayre provided a welcome drink after the round.

I was certainly impressed enough to return in better weather.

I played this course after finding it online and was horrified at what i found, the t boxes are uneven and very small, the fairways were at times non existant due to drainage work which was on nearly every hole the course is very hard to navigate, there is an old portacabin for a club house with no area for changing or socialising and the greens are not USGA spec they are ok but would never merit such a prestegiouse award but the thing which annoyed me the most was the starter who neglected to tell me any of this information when i called and refused me a refund when i complained about false advertised of facilities and the course in general i would caution fellow golfers before venturing here as i am sure you will feal as i did when i left....... Ripped Off !

The Course It\'self Is Very Challenging Fairways Are New So They Still Need Time To Bed In. The Tees Are In Excellant Conditions And The Greens Are Imaculate Up To USPGA Standard. The Rough Is Punishing And They Have Some Really Tough Holes In To The Wind That Make Some Holes Very Accessable. They Have A Good Couple Of Left To Righters Doglegs And Some Great Wee Par3\'s. The Course Is Always Busy Youi See The GreenStaff Out Working No Matter What The Weather And They Are Constantly Up Dating and Puting in New Drainage The Course Will Be One Of The Best In Lanarkshire In A Couple Of Years Time It Has Great Potential. Just Now 8/10 Once It Has The Clubhouse And The Facilities 10/10

Challengingly Good

Great course that is challenging, especially if you leave the fairways. Great layout with a good mix of holes. The front 9 is tougher than the back nine. Very rewarding round of golf even if it can be very frustrating.

At first we were a little underwhelmed with the portakabin hut as the 'clubhouse' but what followed was a course in good quality and a really interesting layout.

Each hole is different and whilst it won't win any awards for beauty with the electric pylons, it's certainly a course I look forward to playing again.

With a new clubhouse on the way within the next couple of months, it's a course that's well worth a visit.

I understand the course is also relatively very young do it will improve as the years go by.

Played the course for the first time yesterday, had been looking to play this course for some time as i want to join a club and play more often and the weather has been really wet lately so a dry sunny spell was the ideal opportunity.
The £10 green fee was a bonus, and despite the new club house still not in use this didn't matter overly. Cards got we marched to the tee and played, then the second (?),then the third (???), then we were lost, yip lost!!! There are NO hole numbers on any tee boxes or flags but the occasional sign saying "next tee this way" - WHAT FLAMING TEE !!!. We even waited on other players coming behind to ask, the bloke who was a member was helpful and a tad bemused as we looked at my card he declared these were the new cards for the forthcoming revised to be layout and sympathetic to our lost plight. In my opinion very poor aka NO advice from the managemen, or office starter of this. It certainly made me think if this was where my joining subs would be heading, not for now guys. On the course itself, the tee areas were good, greens very good and fast, bunkers most with plenty of sand, rough as it should be, features are there, paths fine, fairways below an expected level. More work looks to taking place, and is required, may be back but not this year sorry Torrance Park the £549 subs remains for now in my pocket.
