On approach to the porta cabin club house you could be forgiven for thinking the course attached would be of a similar standard. But having played this course recently I have nothing but positive things to say. Firstly the course itself is a mix of parkland and links holes varying in difficulty and I openly invite low handicappers to try this course. The fairways leave little room for error and are immaculately maintained and the greens are some of the best in the west of Scotland. Each hole is designed to be completely different which is something I really enjoyed. Not to mention it is situated in the heart of north Lanarkshire making it accessible from practically every town in the area. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough to accommodate us, the only point I would make is due to the varied layout of each hole it was difficult the distinguish the way to the next tee from the previous green, apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Would recommend.

12 of us played our annual golf outing at Torrance House and really enjoyed the whole day - we paid £43 each for 2 rounds of golf and the "all day" food package, which is excellent value. However, the organisation and friendliness of the club is some of the best I have experienced. The course itself was in very good condition, which has testing holes, none of which are boring or mega challenging! Keep up the good work Torrance House GC and South Lanarkshire Council !

Played the course on Saturday 7th September 13 on a typical summers day(all weathers!),its a great challenge and offers more variation than most courses in the area ,into the wind and rain and in the sun we both thoroughly enjoyed the course ,only one area of casual water after a night of torrential rain would suggest the drainage is improving, course condition was excellent, tricky greens made for roller coaster putting but added to our enjoyment ,now we know what to expect next time! , a few more Next Tee signs would be nice for 1st time players .Having read some indifferent reviews i would discount them and give the course a try for yourself ,i know we shall return!

The Course It\'self Is Very Challenging Fairways Are New So They Still Need Time To Bed In. The Tees Are In Excellant Conditions And The Greens Are Imaculate Up To USPGA Standard. The Rough Is Punishing And They Have Some Really Tough Holes In To The Wind That Make Some Holes Very Accessable. They Have A Good Couple Of Left To Righters Doglegs And Some Great Wee Par3\'s. The Course Is Always Busy Youi See The GreenStaff Out Working No Matter What The Weather And They Are Constantly Up Dating and Puting in New Drainage The Course Will Be One Of The Best In Lanarkshire In A Couple Of Years Time It Has Great Potential. Just Now 8/10 Once It Has The Clubhouse And The Facilities 10/10

Challengingly Good
Great course that is challenging, especially if you leave the fairways. Great layout with a good mix of holes. The front 9 is tougher than the back nine. Very rewarding round of golf even if it can be very frustrating.

A great course and a good challenge for all levels of golfers. I find the front nine much harder than the back nine. Need to keep on the fairways and greens or lost balls will soon mount up.

Great value for money. Challenging course without being too restrictive for high handicapped players like myself.
Staff are really friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Courde was in great firm condition as it was hot. Greens were great and easy to find my way about even though it was my first time playing here.

Course in good condition for time of year. Greens far superior than club I played last week and fees are at least half the cost roof that club

Torrence Park - a modern classic
This is a fantastic layout - A new course that will be a great one as it matures. Not too hilly and well worth playing if you're in the area.

Nice course
Was wary of playing this course. Pleasantly surprised , Fairways were firm underfoot. Greens in good condition and fast. All in all a decent course with some varied holes.
