Trees in middle of fairways !!!
On several holes they have mature, I mean 200 year old mature trees in the middle of the fairway right at about 250yrds. What course punishes the good playerReviewer Rating

Just above average

Very challenging golf course with tight fairways and lots of trees. The course has a number of short dog leg holes and is quite hilly. The greens were very slow and there was no deffinition between the fairway and rough. It looked as though the course was heavily used as many of the tees and fairways were very worn.

Interesting course. Some short par 4s protected as doglegs. Many tight holes because of trees (too many trees, possibly). Wayward teeshot mostly heavily penalised.

Easy on the eye
Beautiful course with lots of blind tee shots and elevated greens. Fairways are quite tight so you need to plan. Greens were true and nicely paced. Some nice drivable par 4s. Only thing that lets it down for the visitor is a confused layout and few or obscure “next hole” signs; there even appeared to be a spare flagged(!) green halfway up the fairway at one point which confused one of our party!Reviewer Rating

Really enjoyable course to play, some nice picturesque holes and reasonably challenging. Course in really nice condition and greens running very true, great pro shop and staff all really helpful. Would highly recommend and will definitely be playing there again soon

Great course in great condition a real test for golfers of all levels , greens were excellent & overall the course was great . Played with a few members who showed me where to put the ball

A welcome Oasis during this period of madness
A short, undulating course with narrow fairways, making it a challenge for all levels. Some easy holes and some very challenging ones, all set in the beautiful surroundings of the Shropshire countryside. This course plays well all year round.Reviewer Rating

Great autumnal day to play this course which was in great condition, greens especially were in top condition for this time of year. Plenty of trees lining fairways to catch any wayward drives.
