What a relief to find a golf course like this. I've only been playing golf for a couple of years, and I've met more Bull***t, snobbery and petty rules than all the other sports I've ever played put together!......but not this place. It's in a fantastic country setting, It's challenging, very friendly, fantastic value for money, very relaxed and makes for a thoroughly good days golf. The staff are great and make you very welcome. The clubhouse is vey small and basic, but it does the job, and allows them to prices very cheap. What more do want? Unless you like a flashy clubhouse, snobbery, petty dress rules etc, then give this place a try. If there were more like it, I think golf would be at least twice as popular. It's a credit to all involved.

Play here regularly midweek. Always a friendly welcome.
Course and facilities have improved greatly over recent years.
It is a great, natural test of golf that will punish wayward shots severely. What it lacks in water and sand it more than makes up for with blind approaches and tee shots, oh and beware the rough!
Has some of the most picturesque scenery I have ever seen on a course.
Play early as we did this week and enjoy a round of millionaires golf, 18 holes and didn't once see another player, just deer, red kites and woodpeckers.

I played this course in the first week of April after last playing it about a year and a half ago. The work the new management have put in can be seen in the improved facilities and greatly improved greens. I will be back sooner this time.

Just played on the 18 hole course I don't think I have ever played in such beautiful natural surroundings. Great value golf and 3 courses to chose from. The greens have been improving over the last year and are unrecognisable to how the used to be. I will be coming back again very soon.

Played the course today as part of a deal and I must say I have not had this much fun on a golf course in a very long time.

Yes, the facilities are basic, but I have played more expensive courses that have similar. I was absolutely amazed and pleasantly surprised that the £7 (yes £7) I paid was for unlimited golf. I only played the 18 hole red course but the staff made me aware that there were two other 9 hole courses that could also be used. As I arrived at 10am on a weekday, it wasn't too busy and I was easily able to fit in 2 rounds of 18 (October so started to get dark around 1730).

The course: I thought the course was fantastic. For a golf centre with 3 courses the 18 hole course was pleasantly long and also challenging. Yes the fairways are just short grass and the greens are just shorter grass but it was in very good condition. There are no 'hazards' in terms of water or bunkers, but cleverly placed lines of bushes, trees and thick foliage that intersect the fairways in positions that if you do not hit your drive well they certainly do become 'hazards'. The greens are not like Tarmac like at some higher priced courses but this just adds to the challenge. I found that I was actually landing the ball closer to the flag rather than trying to run it in which kept my score very low. There is also a massive incentive to keep it on the fairway. If you hit the rough ther is a high chance your ball will be next to impossible to find.

There are some brilliant holes which have been mentioned above; the par 5s particularly memorable but the one that stands out in my Mind was literally shaped like an 'L', playing down a hill and round to the right, with the route cutting the corner protected by trees if you don't hit it long enough.

I would recommend this course to anyone, no matter their handicap, ability or age. It is excellent value for money, great fun and in essence, golf without its ugly, elitist and pompous face on.

Played this course for the first time and was amazed how good it was for the price. 36 holes of golf in some outstanding beautiful countryside, unique, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The Red (main) course is a delight to play although you can play all courses on a day ticket.

I have to say the best value golf I have ever played/witnessed, well worth a day out!

A basic course, great for beginners, or intermediate players looking to improve without the challenge of bunkers, as there aren't any.
Watch out for the rough though, thats tough!

Generally it's a quiet & pleasant place to be - if you want a good place to practice
The scenery is scenic, the rough is rough, the fairways fair and the greens "green" - if you know what I mean.

I have played this course twice and have enjoyed it on both occasions. The greens are not at their best, but it is January.

As for the course, some thought has gone into this, as no two holes are the same. The course will continue to improve and the land scape has been used well. Course management is key, there are a number of blind tee shots or hazzards to consider as you progress.

Facilities are basic, but the welcome as very friendly and for the price you cannot go wrong. Play the course with an open mind and take in the scenary and wildlife.

Played the 18 hole course for the first time on a very cheap deal, but I am not sure that I got value for money. I am told that the course was created the way courses used to be made, with the grass cut for the fairways and the grass cut shorter for the greens, but my impression of the course was of one made with 18 temporary greens. Maybe it is better in summer?

None of the holes are especially memorable, and putting was a complete lottery, although the fairways were fairly similar to a lot of other courses at this time of year. The clubhouse is a small shed, but the welcome was very friendly. There are a couple of 9 holes courses to practise your short game on, but I imagine that they are in a similar condition to the 18 hole course.

Absolutely no hazards on the course, but long rough everywhere.

The place REALLY needs irregation though, its on the top of the Chilterns so is always very dry. This makes greens sometimes totally unplayable. It's a shame, its a nice place really.

But it is VERY cheap, with 3 courses, a par 71 18hole, a 9hole and a par 3 course.
